Device Overview

Initial Setup

Prepare device for first use.

Insert Batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.

Apply Cuff: Wrap cuff on bare upper arm, align artery marker with brachial artery, secure snugly.

Taking a Measurement

Follow proper procedure for accurate readings.

Sit comfortably with feet flat on floor, back supported.
Wrap cuff on left arm (unless instructed otherwise).
Rest arm on table so cuff is at heart level.
Press START/STOP button. Device will inflate automatically.
Remain still and quiet during measurement.
Reading displays with systolic, diastolic, and pulse rate.
Cuff deflates automatically. Device stores reading in memory.
Wait 2-3 minutes between measurements on same arm.

WARNING! Do not move or talk during measurement. Ensure cuff is not too tight or loose.

Understanding Results

Interpret the displayed readings and symbols.

Systolic Pressure: Top number (mmHg) - pressure when heart beats.
Diastolic Pressure: Bottom number (mmHg) - pressure when heart rests.
Pulse Rate: Beats per minute (BPM).
WHO Indicator: Color bar (green/yellow/red) shows hypertension category.
AFIB Symbol: Appears if atrial fibrillation is detected. Consult physician.
Irregular Heartbeat Symbol: Appears if irregular pulse is detected during measurement.

Memory Function

Select User: Press USER button to toggle between User 1 and User 2.

Clear Memory: Press and hold MEMORY button for 3 seconds to delete all readings for current user.
