Device Overview

Front Panel: START/STOP button, MEMORY button, USER button (1/2), LCD display. Cuff: Velcro closure, air tube connector, artery marker. Rear: Battery compartment.

Initial Setup

Before first use, install batteries and set date/time.

  1. Insert Batteries: Open battery compartment on back, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Set Date/Time: Press and hold MEMORY button for 3 seconds until year flashes. Use START/STOP to adjust values, MEMORY to confirm and move to next setting (month, day, hour, minute).
  3. Attach Cuff: Ensure cuff is securely connected to main unit via air tube.

Tip: Perform a test measurement without wearing the cuff to ensure device inflates and displays correctly.

Taking a Measurement

For accurate results, rest for 5 minutes before measuring.

  1. Sit correctly: Sit on a chair with back support, feet flat on floor.
  2. Apply cuff: Place cuff on bare upper left arm (or as directed by physician). Artery marker should align with brachial artery. Cuff edge should be 2-3 cm above elbow.
  3. Secure cuff: Wrap snugly; not too tight (should fit one finger underneath).
  4. Position arm: Rest arm on table so cuff is at heart level.
  5. Select user: Press USER button to choose User 1 or User 2 (icon appears).
  6. Start measurement: Press START/STOP. Cuff inflates automatically. Remain still and quiet.
  7. Read results: After deflation, systolic, diastolic, and pulse readings display with WHO indicator. Device powers off automatically after 1 minute.

WARNING! Do not inflate cuff when not attached to arm. Do not move or talk during measurement.

Understanding the Display

LCD shows: Systolic (top), Diastolic (middle), Pulse (bottom). WHO bar: Green (normal), Yellow (mild hypertension), Red (severe hypertension). IHD symbol flashes if irregular heartbeat detected. Memory icon shows when recalling stored readings. Battery icon indicates low power when flashing.

Error Codes: E1 - Cuff not properly attached or leakage. E2 - Measurement error (movement). E3 - Pulse signal too weak. E4 - Pressure exceeds 300 mmHg.

Memory Function

Stores last 99 readings for each of two users.

  1. View memory: Press MEMORY button once. Display shows average of last 3 readings for current user.
  2. Scroll memory: Press MEMORY again within 2 seconds to scroll through individual stored readings (with date/time).
  3. Switch users: Press USER button to toggle between User 1 and User 2 memory.
  4. Clear memory: To clear all memory for current user, press and hold USER and MEMORY together for 5 seconds until display clears.

Note: Memory is retained when batteries are removed.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug air tube and remove batteries before cleaning. Wipe main unit and cuff with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not immerse in water or use solvents.

CAUTION! Do not wash cuff. Avoid extreme temperatures, humidity, dust, and direct sunlight. Store in provided case when not in use.

Battery Information

Warning: Do not use rechargeable batteries unless specified. Remove batteries if device will not be used for extended period.
