First-Time Setup

Prepare device for first measurement.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Set date and time: Press MEMORY button, use SET to adjust values, confirm with START/STOP.
  3. Select user: Press USER button to choose User 1 or User 2 before measurement.
  4. Apply cuff: Wrap cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow, align artery marker with brachial artery.

CAUTION! Use only recommended batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries.

Preparing for Measurement

For accurate results, follow these steps:

  1. Avoid eating, smoking, or exercising 30 minutes before measurement.
  2. Sit quietly for 5 minutes before measuring.
  3. Sit on chair with back support, feet flat on floor.
  4. Place arm on table so cuff is at heart level.
  5. Apply cuff directly on bare skin, not over clothing.
  6. Ensure tube runs down center of arm toward hand.

Tip: Take measurements at same time each day for consistent tracking.

Taking a Measurement

Follow proper measurement procedure:

  1. Select user: Press USER button to choose User 1 or User 2.
  2. Position cuff: Wrap snugly with 1-2 fingers fit between cuff and arm.
  3. Start measurement: Press START/STOP button, device inflates automatically.
  4. Remain still: Do not move or talk during measurement.
  5. Read results: Systolic, diastolic, and pulse display with WHO color indicator.
  6. Automatic deflation: Cuff deflates completely after measurement.
  7. View irregular heartbeat: If detected, symbol appears on display.

WARNING! Do not inflate cuff beyond maximum pressure. If uncomfortable, press START/STOP to stop.

Memory Function

Review and manage stored readings:

  1. View memory: Press MEMORY button to scroll through stored readings.
  2. Select user: Press USER to switch between User 1 and User 2 memory.
  3. Average reading: First displayed value shows average of last 3 readings.
  4. Clear memory: Hold MEMORY button for 3 seconds to clear current user's memory.
  5. Memory full: Symbol appears when 99 readings stored; clear memory to continue.

Care & Maintenance

Proper care ensures accuracy and longevity:

  1. Clean cuff with damp cloth only; do not immerse in water.
  2. Store in provided case away from direct sunlight and moisture.
  3. Remove batteries if not using for extended period.
  4. Do not expose to extreme temperatures or humidity.
  5. Replace cuff if damaged or showing signs of wear.

CAUTION! Do not use alcohol, solvents, or abrasive cleaners. Do not disassemble device.
