Initial Setup

Prepare device for first use.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Set date and time: Press and hold MEMORY button for 3 seconds, use START/STOP to adjust.
  3. Connect cuff: Insert air tube into connector until it clicks.
  4. Select user: Press USER 1 or USER 2 button to select user profile.

Tip: For most accurate results, use AC adapter instead of batteries.

Taking a Measurement

Proper technique for accurate readings.

  1. Rest for 5 minutes before measuring. Sit comfortably with feet flat on floor.
  2. Apply cuff: Place cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow. Align artery marker with brachial artery.
  3. Position arm: Rest arm on table with cuff at heart level. Relax hand with palm upward.
  4. Start measurement: Press START/STOP button. Cuff will inflate automatically.
  5. Remain still: Do not move or talk during measurement.
  6. Read results: Display shows systolic, diastolic, and pulse rate. WHO indicator shows classification.
  7. Store reading: Measurement is automatically stored in selected user's memory.

WARNING! Do not inflate cuff when not wrapped around arm. Do not take measurements more than 3 times in succession.

Irregular Heartbeat Symbol: Appears if irregular heartbeat is detected during measurement. Consult physician if symbol appears frequently.

Memory Function

Managing stored measurements.

  1. Select user: Press USER 1 or USER 2 button.
  2. View memory: Press MEMORY button to scroll through stored measurements.
  3. View average: After displaying a measurement, press MEMORY again to show average of last 3 readings.
  4. Clear memory: Press and hold USER 1 and USER 2 simultaneously for 3 seconds to clear all memory for selected user.

Note: Memory full indicator appears when 99 measurements are stored. Oldest readings are automatically overwritten.

Care & Maintenance

  1. Clean device with soft, dry cloth only. Do not use chemicals or immerse in water.
  2. Clean cuff with mild soap and damp cloth if necessary. Air dry completely before storage.
  3. Store in provided case in cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  4. Remove batteries if device will not be used for extended period.
  5. Replace batteries when low battery indicator appears.
