First-Time Setup

Insert batteries or connect AC adapter; set date and time.

  1. Install batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Set date/time: Press and hold the MEMORY button for 3 seconds, use START/STOP to adjust.
  3. Apply cuff: Place cuff on bare upper arm, 1-2 cm above elbow, align artery marker with brachial artery.
  4. Position: Sit comfortably with back supported, feet flat, and cuff at heart level.

CAUTION! Use only recommended batteries or AC adapter. Do not over-tighten cuff.

Taking a Measurement

For most accurate results, measure at the same time each day.

  1. Rest for 5 minutes before measuring.
  2. Sit correctly: Back straight, feet flat, legs uncrossed.
  3. Apply cuff correctly on bare left arm (unless instructed otherwise).
  4. Press START/STOP: Unit inflates automatically, then deflates while measuring.
  5. Remain still and quiet until results are displayed.
  6. Results show systolic, diastolic, pulse, and any detection symbols.
  7. Unit automatically powers off after 1 minute.

Tip: Avoid caffeine, smoking, and exercise for 30 minutes before measurement.

Understanding Results

The display shows systolic pressure (top number), diastolic pressure (middle number), and pulse rate.

  1. WHO Indicator: Color bar shows green (normal), yellow (mild), orange (moderate), or red (severe).
  2. AFIB Symbol: Flashes if atrial fibrillation is detected. Consult your physician.
  3. Irregular Heartbeat Symbol: Appears if irregular rhythm is detected during measurement.
  4. Error Symbols: E1-E5 indicate measurement errors (see troubleshooting).

WARNING! A single high reading does not necessarily indicate hypertension. Track trends over time.

Memory Function

Stores 99 readings per user (2 users total).

  1. Select User: Press USER button to choose User 1 or User 2 icon.
  2. Automatic Storage: Each successful measurement is stored with date/time.
  3. Review Memory: Press MEMORY button to scroll through stored readings.
  4. Clear Memory: In memory mode, press and hold START/STOP to delete all readings for current user.

Note: Memory is retained when batteries are removed.

Care & Maintenance

Clean with soft, dry cloth only. Do not immerse in water or use chemicals.

  1. Cuff Care: Wipe with damp cloth if soiled. Do not machine wash or iron.
