Safety Information

Read all instructions before use. For adult use only.

  1. Do not use on infants, children, or persons unable to express themselves.
  2. Consult your physician before use if you have arrhythmia, pre-eclampsia, or other circulatory disorders.
  3. This device is for measurement and monitoring only, not for diagnosis or therapy.
  4. Do not use in high humidity, near flammable gases, or during MRI/CT scans.
  5. Ensure cuff is correctly positioned; improper use may cause inaccurate readings.

WARNING! Never modify the device. Use only specified AC adapter or batteries. Keep away from children.

Parts Identification

Familiarize yourself with the device components.

  1. Main Unit: Houses display, controls, and internal pump.
  2. LCD Display: Shows systolic/diastolic pressure, pulse, icons, and memory.
  3. START/STOP Button: Powers on and starts measurement.
  4. MEMORY Button: Recalls stored measurements.
  5. Easy-Wrap Cuff: With D-ring and air tube connector.
  6. Air Tube: Connects cuff to main unit.
  7. AC Adapter Jack: For external power (optional).
  8. Battery Compartment: Holds 4 AA batteries.

Note: All parts must be intact for accurate operation.

Preparation for Measurement

For accurate results, prepare correctly.

  1. Rest: Sit quietly for 5 minutes before measuring.
  2. Position: Sit on a chair with back support, feet flat on floor.
  3. Cuff Placement: Apply cuff to bare upper arm. Lower edge 2-3 cm above elbow. Tube aligns with middle of arm.
  4. Arm Position: Rest arm on table so cuff is at heart level.
  5. Avoid: Talking, moving, or crossing legs during measurement.
  6. Timing: Measure at consistent times daily (e.g., morning and evening).

CAUTION! Do not inflate cuff when not attached to arm. Ensure cuff is not twisted.

Taking a Measurement

Follow these steps for a single measurement.

  1. Insert batteries or connect AC adapter.
  2. Wrap cuff securely on left upper arm (or arm specified by physician).
  3. Sit correctly as described in Preparation.
  4. Press the START/STOP button. All display symbols will appear briefly.
  5. The cuff will inflate automatically. Remain still and quiet.
  6. Measurement proceeds; pulse symbol flashes.
  7. Cuff deflates automatically. Results display with systolic, diastolic, and pulse rate.
  8. The device powers off automatically after 1 minute, or press START/STOP to turn off.

Tip: Wait at least 3 minutes between measurements on the same person.

Understanding the Display & Results

Memory Function

Stores readings for two users (User 1 & User 2).

  1. Select User: Press MEMORY button before measurement. User icon (1 or 2) blinks. Press START/STOP to confirm selection. Or, the device automatically stores to the last selected user.
  2. Recall Memory: Press and hold MEMORY button for 3 seconds. Display shows average of last 3 readings. Press MEMORY again to scroll through individual stored readings with date/time.
  3. Clear Memory: With device off, press and hold MEMORY button while inserting batteries (or switching on). All readings for the selected user are erased.

Note: Memory is retained when batteries are removed.

AFIB Detection Feature

The device analyzes pulse rhythm during measurement to screen for possible Atrial Fibrillation (AFIB).

  1. If the AFIB algorithm detects a pattern consistent with possible AFIB, the AFIB symbol will appear next to the measurement results.
  2. This is a screening feature, not a diagnosis. A positive result should be discussed with a physician.
  3. For accurate AFIB screening, ensure you are still and relaxed during measurement.
  4. The feature works in conjunction with standard blood pressure measurement; no extra steps are required.

Important: Do not rely solely on this device for diagnosing heart conditions. Always consult a healthcare professional.

Care & Maintenance

Proper care ensures longevity and accuracy.

  1. Cleaning: Wipe main unit and cuff with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not immerse in water or use solvents.
  2. Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Avoid extreme temperatures, humidity, and direct sunlight.
  3. Cuff Care: Do not fold the cuff tightly. Keep the air tube unbent.
  4. Batteries: Remove batteries if device will not be used for an extended period.
  5. Service: Have device checked every 2 years for accuracy. Do not attempt to repair yourself.

CAUTION! Never wash or sterilize the cuff in an autoclave. Do not disassemble the unit.
