Initial Setup

Before first use: Install batteries or connect AC adapter, set date/time.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, install 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Set date/time: Press and hold START/STOP for 3 seconds, use buttons to adjust.
  3. Connect cuff: Plug air tube into monitor connector until it clicks.
  4. Test device: Apply cuff correctly and take a practice measurement.

Tip: For most accurate readings, use AC adapter or fresh alkaline batteries.

Taking a Measurement

For accurate results: Rest 5 minutes before measuring, avoid caffeine, smoking, and exercise 30 minutes prior.

  1. Sit comfortably: Back supported, feet flat, arm resting at heart level.
  2. Apply cuff: Bare upper arm, artery marker over brachial artery, 2-3 cm above elbow.
  3. Secure cuff: Snug but not tight (one finger should fit under cuff).
  4. Start measurement: Press START/STOP, remain still and quiet.
  5. Read results: Display shows systolic/diastolic pressure and pulse rate.
  6. Automatic deflation: Cuff deflates completely after measurement.
  7. Power off: Device turns off automatically after 1 minute.

WARNING! Do not move or talk during measurement. Ensure cuff is at heart level.

Irregular Heartbeat Symbol: Appears if irregular pulse detected during measurement. If symbol appears frequently, consult your physician.

Error Codes: E1 (cuff not properly applied), E2 (measurement error), E3 (pulse rate out of range), E4 (excessive movement).

Memory Function

Device stores last 30 readings with date and time.

  1. View memory: Press and release START/STOP quickly when device is off.
  2. Scroll through readings: Press START/STOP to advance through memory.
  3. Average value: After displaying all readings, device shows average of last 3 measurements.
  4. Clear memory: Remove batteries for >30 seconds to clear all memory.

Note: Memory is maintained for approximately 72 hours when batteries are removed.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug AC adapter/remove batteries before cleaning.

  1. Clean monitor: Damp cloth only, no solvents or abrasives.
  2. Clean cuff: Mild soap solution, air dry completely.
  3. Storage: Keep in case provided, avoid extreme temperatures/humidity.
  4. Batteries: Replace when low battery symbol appears. Remove if not used for extended period.
  5. Cuff inspection: Check for leaks, cracks, or Velcro wear periodically.
