Display Symbols: User indicator (1/2), Systolic pressure, Diastolic pressure, Pulse rate, WHO classification bar, AFIB symbol, Irregular heartbeat symbol, Memory full indicator, Battery indicator, Date/Time, Average value indicator.

Initial Setup

Before first use: Install batteries or connect AC adapter, set date/time, select user.

  1. Install batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Set date/time: Press and hold MEMORY button for 3 seconds until display flashes. Use START/STOP to adjust values, MEMORY to confirm and move to next setting.

Tip: For most accurate results, use AC adapter when available. Batteries may provide slightly varying voltage.

Taking a Measurement

For accurate results: Rest 5 minutes before measuring, avoid caffeine, smoking, or exercise 30 minutes prior.

  1. Sit comfortably: Back supported, feet flat on floor, legs uncrossed.
  2. Apply cuff: Place cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow. Tube should run down center of arm.
  3. Position arm: Rest arm on table with cuff at heart level. Palm facing upward.
  4. Start measurement: Press START/STOP. Cuff inflates automatically to appropriate pressure.
  5. Remain still: Do not move or talk during measurement.
  6. Read results: Systolic, diastolic pressures and pulse rate display with WHO classification.
  7. Automatic deflation: Cuff deflates completely after measurement.

WARNING! Do not inflate cuff manually. The device uses Intellisense to determine optimal pressure.

Memory Function

Stores 99 readings for each of two users with date/time stamp.

  1. Select user: Press USER SELECT to choose User 1 or User 2 before measurement.
  2. Automatic storage: Readings automatically save to selected user's memory after each measurement.
  3. View memory: Press MEMORY button to scroll through stored readings. Display shows reading number, systolic/diastolic values, pulse, date, and time.
  4. Delete memory: Press and hold MEMORY button for 5 seconds while in memory mode to delete all readings for current user.
  5. Memory full: When memory is full (99 readings), oldest reading is automatically overwritten.

Average Function: Automatically calculates average of last 3 measurements taken within 10 minutes. Average symbol displays when available.
