Initial Setup

Prepare device for first use.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Set date/time: Press and hold MEMORY button for 3 seconds, use START/STOP to adjust.
  3. Select user: Press USER SELECT to choose User 1 or User 2.
  4. Apply cuff: Wrap cuff on bare upper arm, align artery marker with brachial artery.
  5. Position: Sit comfortably with feet flat, back supported, arm at heart level.

Tip: Rest for 5 minutes before first measurement. Avoid caffeine, smoking, or exercise 30 minutes prior.

Taking a Measurement

Follow proper procedure for accurate results.

  1. Sit correctly: Feet flat, back straight, arm supported at heart level.
  2. Apply cuff: 2-3 cm above elbow, snug but not tight.
  3. Press START/STOP: Device will inflate automatically.
  4. Remain still: Do not talk or move during measurement.
  5. Read results: Systolic, diastolic, pulse rate displayed.
  6. Note symbols: Irregular heartbeat icon if detected.
  7. Check WHO colors: Green (normal), Yellow (elevated), Red (high).
  8. Automatic deflation: Cuff deflates completely after reading.
  9. Power off: Device turns off automatically after 1 minute.

WARNING! Do not inflate cuff manually. Excessive pressure may cause injury.

Memory Function

Store and review measurements for tracking.

  1. Select user: Press USER SELECT to choose User 1 or User 2.
  2. Automatic storage: Each measurement is saved with date/time.
  3. View memory: Press MEMORY button to scroll through readings.
  4. Average calculation: Last 3 readings average displayed when memory viewed.
  5. Memory full: "FULL" symbol appears when 99 readings stored per user.
  6. Clear memory: Press and hold USER SELECT for 5 seconds to clear current user's memory.

Note: Memory is maintained when batteries are replaced (within 5 minutes).

Care & Maintenance

Proper care ensures accuracy and longevity.

  1. Clean with soft, dry cloth only. Do not use chemicals or immerse in water.
  2. Store in provided case in cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  3. Remove batteries if not used for extended period (more than 3 months).
  4. Check cuff regularly for wear or damage. Replace if necessary.
  5. Do not disassemble device. No user-serviceable parts inside.
