Initial Setup

Before first use: Install batteries and set date/time.

  1. Insert Batteries: Open battery compartment on back. Insert 4 AA batteries observing correct polarity (+/-). Close cover.
  2. Set Date & Time: Press and hold the SET button for 3 seconds. Use START/STOP to adjust values (Year → Month → Day → Hour → Minute). Press SET to confirm each and exit.
  3. Select User: Briefly press SET button to toggle between User 1 and User 2 icon on display. Select the appropriate user before measuring.
  4. Connect Cuff: Plug the cuff tube firmly into the port on the side of the monitor.

Tip: For most accurate results, rest for 5 minutes before measuring. Avoid caffeine, exercise, and smoking for 30 minutes prior.

Taking a Measurement

Follow these steps for a correct reading. For 3x Average (MAM) mode, the device will automatically take three readings.

  1. Sit Correctly: Sit on a chair with back support, feet flat on the floor. Rest for 5 minutes.
  2. Apply Cuff: Place cuff on bare upper arm. The artery marker (▼) should align with the brachial artery on the inner arm. Cuff edge should be 2-3 cm above elbow. Secure snugly with Velcro.
  3. Position Arm: Rest arm on a table so the cuff is at heart level. Relax, palm facing up.
  4. Start Measurement: Press START/STOP button. The cuff will inflate automatically.
  5. Remain Still: Do not move or talk during inflation and measurement.
  6. Read Results: After deflation, systolic, diastolic pressure, and pulse rate display. The WHO bar graph will color-indicate the category. An Irregular Heartbeat symbol ( ) appears if detected.
  7. For MAM Mode: After the first reading, "MAM" and "2" will flash. Remain still. The device will automatically take two more readings after short pauses, then display the average of all three.
  8. Power Off: Device turns off automatically about 1 minute after last button press.

WARNING! Do not inflate cuff when not wrapped around arm. Excessive pressure can cause injury.

Memory Function

The device stores up to 99 measurements for two users (User 1 and User 2), each with date and time.

  1. Recall Memory: Press the MEMORY (M) button. The display shows the most recent reading for the selected user.
  2. Scroll: Press MEMORY again to scroll through previous readings in reverse chronological order.
  3. Check Average: After scrolling through all readings, the display shows the average of all stored values for that user.
  4. Clear Memory: To delete all memory for the current user, press and hold the MEMORY button for about 5 seconds while in memory mode until "0" appears. Memory for the other user remains intact.

Note: Ensure the correct user icon is selected before recalling memory.
