Device Overview

Front Panel: LCD display, START/STOP button, MEMORY button, USER button (1/2), DATE/TIME button.

Display Symbols: Systolic pressure, Diastolic pressure, Pulse rate, AFIB indicator, Irregular heartbeat symbol, WHO classification bar (green/yellow/red), User indicator, Battery icon, Memory icon, Date/Time display.

First-Time Setup

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4xAA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Set date and time: Press and hold DATE/TIME button, use START to adjust values.
  3. Select user: Press USER button to select User 1 or User 2 for separate memory storage.
  4. Apply cuff correctly: Wrap cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow, align artery marker with brachial artery.
  5. Positioning: Sit comfortably with back supported, feet flat on floor, arm supported at heart level.

Tip: Rest for 5 minutes before first measurement. Avoid talking or moving during measurement.

Taking a Measurement

  1. Sit in correct position as described in First-Time Setup.
  2. Wrap cuff securely but not too tightly (should fit one finger underneath).
  3. Press START button. Device will automatically inflate.
  4. Remain still and quiet during measurement. Do not move arm or talk.
  5. Device will deflate automatically and display results.
  6. Results will show: Systolic pressure, Diastolic pressure, Pulse rate, and any detected irregularities.
  7. Press START again for another measurement (wait 2-3 minutes between readings).
  8. Device automatically powers off after 1 minute, or press and hold START to turn off immediately.

WARNING! Do not inflate cuff when not attached to arm. Maximum pressure is 300 mmHg.

Understanding Results

Blood Pressure Values: Displayed as systolic/diastolic (e.g., 120/80 mmHg)

WHO Classification Indicator: - Green: Normal (systolic < 135, diastolic < 85) - Yellow: Mild hypertension (systolic 135-159, diastolic 85-99) - Red: Severe hypertension (systolic ≥ 160, diastolic ≥ 100)

AFIB Indicator: Flashing heart symbol with "AFIB" text appears if atrial fibrillation is detected during measurement.

Irregular Heartbeat Symbol: Appears if irregular heartbeat is detected (but not confirmed AFIB).

Error Symbols: E1-E5 codes indicate measurement errors (see Troubleshooting section).

Memory Function

Stores up to 99 measurements per user (2 users total).

  1. View memory: Press MEMORY button to scroll through stored measurements.
  2. Average value: After displaying all stored values, device shows average of last 3 measurements.
  3. Delete memory: While in memory mode, press and hold MEMORY button for 3 seconds to delete all readings for current user.
  4. User selection: Press USER button to switch between User 1 and User 2 memory.

Note: Memory is maintained when batteries are replaced (if done within 3 minutes).

CAUTION! Do not immerse device in water. Avoid extreme temperatures and humidity.
