Specifications

Preparation for Measurement

For accurate readings, follow these steps before each measurement.

  1. Rest for 5 minutes before measuring.
  2. Avoid eating, smoking, or caffeine 30 minutes before measurement.
  3. Sit comfortably on a chair with feet flat on floor.
  4. Place cuff on bare left arm (or as directed by physician).
  5. Position cuff 1-2 cm above elbow with artery marker over brachial artery.
  6. Secure cuff snugly but not too tight (should fit one finger underneath).
  7. Rest arm on table with palm facing up, cuff at heart level.
  8. Remain still and quiet during measurement.

CAUTION! Do not talk or move during measurement as this affects accuracy.

Taking a Measurement

Follow these steps for proper measurement.

  1. Press START/STOP button to turn on device.
  2. All display symbols will appear briefly, then "0" appears.
  3. Cuff inflates automatically to appropriate pressure.
  4. During deflation, device measures blood pressure and pulse.
  5. Results display with systolic, diastolic, and pulse values.
  6. WHO classification bar shows color-coded result.
  7. If irregular heartbeat detected, symbol appears.
  8. If hypertension detected, indicator appears.
  9. Device automatically stores reading (if memory function on).
  10. Device powers off automatically after 1 minute.

Tip: Take 2-3 measurements with 1-2 minute intervals for consistency.

Memory Function

Device stores 99 readings for each of 2 users with date and time stamp.

  1. To view memory: Press M button while device is off.
  2. User 1 readings display first (U1 appears).
  3. Press START/STOP to scroll through readings.
  4. Press M button to switch to User 2 (U2 appears).
  5. To clear memory: Hold M button for 5 seconds while in memory mode.
  6. Average function: Automatically calculates average of last 3 measurements.

Note: Memory is maintained when changing batteries if done within 3 minutes.

Care & Maintenance

Proper care ensures accurate measurements and long device life.

  1. Clean cuff with mild soap and damp cloth only; do not immerse in water.
  2. Clean main unit with dry soft cloth only.
  3. Do not use alcohol, solvents, or abrasive cleaners.
  4. Store in clean, dry place at room temperature.
  5. Avoid extreme temperatures, humidity, and direct sunlight.
  6. Do not drop or subject to strong impacts.
  7. Remove batteries if not using for extended period.
  8. Replace cuff if it becomes damaged or loses elasticity.

CAUTION! Never wash cuff in washing machine or use dryer.

Battery & Power

Device operates on batteries or AC adapter (sold separately).

  1. Battery installation: Open compartment on rear, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Low battery indicator appears when replacement needed.
  3. For AC adapter: Use only Microlife 6V DC adapter (model AD-6).
  4. Insert adapter plug into DC jack on side of device.
  5. When using adapter, batteries are automatically disconnected.

WARNING! Use only recommended batteries and adapter. Mixing old/new batteries may cause leakage.
