Cuff & Tubing: Cuff with Velcro closure and air tube permanently connected to the main unit.

Initial Setup & Battery Installation

  1. Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the device.
  2. Insert 4 new AA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-) as indicated.
  3. Close the cover securely.
  4. The display will show all segments briefly, then the date/time setting mode will activate.
  5. Use the M button to select the value (year, month, day, hour, minute) and the START/STOP button to increase it. Press M to confirm and move to the next setting.

Tip: Replace all batteries at the same time. Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period.

Applying the Cuff

Correct cuff placement is critical for an accurate reading.

  1. Sit comfortably on a chair with your feet flat on the floor. Rest for 5 minutes.
  2. Bare your left upper arm. Slide your arm through the cuff loop.
  3. Position the cuff so the air tube (marked with an Φ artery symbol) runs down the center of your inner arm, aligned with your middle finger.
  4. The lower edge of the cuff should be 2-3 cm above your elbow.
  5. Wrap the cuff snugly around your arm and secure the Velcro. You should be able to fit one finger between the cuff and your arm.
  6. Rest your arm on a table so the cuff is at heart level.

WARNING! Do not apply the cuff over clothing. Tight or loose cuff placement will cause inaccurate readings.

Taking a Measurement

  1. Ensure you are relaxed. Sit upright with back supported.
  2. Press the User (1 or 2) button to select your memory profile. The corresponding icon will appear.
  3. Press the START/STOP button. All display symbols will appear, and the cuff will begin to inflate automatically.
  4. Remain still and quiet. Do not move your arm or talk during the measurement.
  5. The cuff will deflate automatically. Your systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, and pulse rate will be displayed.
  6. To use MAM Mode for an average reading: After the first reading, do not remove the cuff. The device will automatically start two more measurements at 1-minute intervals and then display the average of all three readings.
  7. The reading is automatically saved to the selected user's memory.
