Initial Setup

Before first use, install batteries or connect AC adapter, set date/time, and select user.

  1. Power: Insert 4 AA batteries (ensure correct polarity) or plug in AC adapter.
  2. Date/Time: Press and hold the MEMORY button for 3 seconds. Use START/STOP to adjust values, press MEMORY to confirm and move to next setting.
  3. Select User: Briefly press MEMORY button to toggle between User 1 and User 2. The corresponding icon will appear on display.
  4. Cuff Connection: Plug the cuff tube firmly into the socket on the side of the device.

Tip: For most accurate results, use the AC adapter or ensure batteries are fresh.

Taking a Measurement

For reliable results, remain still, quiet, and seated correctly.

  1. Prepare: Sit comfortably on a chair with back support. Rest for 5 minutes. Place feet flat on the floor.
  2. Apply Cuff: Wrap cuff on bare upper left arm (or as advised by doctor). The bottom edge should be 1-2 cm above elbow. The air tube should run down the center of your inner arm. Cuff should be snug but not tight.
  3. Position Arm: Rest your arm on a table so the cuff is at heart level. Relax your hand, palm up.
  4. Start: Press the START/STOP button. The cuff will inflate automatically.
  5. Remain Still: Do not move, talk, or tense your arm during measurement.
  6. Read Results: After deflation, your systolic/diastolic pressure, pulse rate, and WHO classification will display. The AFIB symbol will appear if a potential irregularity is detected.
  7. Power Off: The device turns off automatically after 1 minute, or press START/STOP.

WARNING! Do not take measurements more than 3 times in succession. Wait 5 minutes between measurements on the same arm.

Memory & Data Management

The device stores 99 measurements per user.

  1. View Memory: Press the MEMORY button briefly. The display shows the most recent reading with its sequence number (e.g., 99).
  2. Scroll: Press MEMORY again within 3 seconds to scroll through previous readings.
  3. View Average: If 3 measurements were taken within 10 minutes, the average of those 3 will be displayed first when entering memory mode, marked with an "AVG" symbol.
  4. Delete All Memory for Current User: With device off, press and hold the MEMORY button until "CLR" appears, then immediately press START/STOP. All readings for the selected user will be erased.

Note: Memory is retained when batteries are removed or power is lost.
