Device Overview

Initial Setup

Prepare device for first use:

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing correct polarity.
  2. Connect cuff: Attach air tube to connector on side of unit until it clicks.
  3. Set date and time: Press DATE/TIME button, use START/STOP to adjust values, press MEMORY to confirm.
  4. Select user: Press USER SELECT to choose User 1 or User 2 for memory storage.
  5. Apply cuff correctly: Position cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow.

Tip: Rest for 5 minutes before first measurement. Sit comfortably with feet flat on floor.

Taking a Measurement

For accurate readings, follow these steps:

  1. Sit comfortably with back supported and feet flat on floor.
  2. Apply cuff to left arm (unless instructed otherwise by physician).
  3. Position cuff so air tube runs down center of arm toward hand.
  4. Rest arm on table with cuff at heart level.
  5. Press START/STOP button - device will inflate automatically.
  6. Remain still and quiet during measurement.
  7. Read results on display when measurement completes.
  8. Press START/STOP again to turn device off, or it will auto-power-off after 1 minute.

WARNING! Do not move or talk during measurement. Ensure cuff is at heart level for accurate results.

Memory Function

The device stores 99 readings for each of two users:

Note: Memory is maintained when batteries are changed if done within 3 minutes.

Special Features

Irregular Heartbeat Detection: Symbol appears if irregular heartbeat is detected during measurement. If detected frequently, consult your physician.

WHO Classification Indicator: Bar graph shows whether reading is Optimal, Normal, High Normal, or Hypertension according to WHO guidelines.

Automatic Averaging: After three consecutive readings taken within 10 minutes, average is calculated and displayed with AVG symbol.

Hypertension Detection: If systolic pressure ≥ 135 mmHg or diastolic ≥ 85 mmHg, device may alert user (consult manual for specific thresholds).

Care & Maintenance

Proper care ensures accurate measurements and device longevity:

  1. Clean cuff with mild soap and damp cloth only; do not immerse in water.
  2. Clean main unit with dry soft cloth; do not use solvents or abrasives.
  3. Store in provided case when not in use.
  4. Remove batteries if device will not be used for extended period.
  5. Replace batteries when low battery symbol appears.
