Initial Setup

Prepare device for first use.

  1. Insert batteries: Open compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Set date/time: Press and hold MEMORY button for 3 seconds, use START/STOP to adjust.
  3. Select user: Press USER button to select User 1 or User 2.
  4. Apply cuff: Wrap cuff on bare upper arm, align artery marker with brachial artery.
  5. Connect tube: Insert cuff tube into device connector until it clicks.

Tip: For most accurate results, use AC adapter instead of batteries.

Taking a Measurement

For accurate readings, follow proper procedure.

  1. Sit comfortably: Rest for 5 minutes before measuring.
  2. Position: Sit with back straight, feet flat, arm supported at heart level.
  3. Apply cuff: Place cuff 1-2 cm above elbow, tighten snugly.
  4. Start: Press START/STOP button, device will inflate automatically.
  5. Remain still: Do not talk or move during measurement.
  6. Read results: Display shows systolic, diastolic, pulse, and AFIB status.
  7. Store: Reading is automatically saved to selected user's memory.

WARNING! Do not inflate cuff when not wrapped around arm.

Memory Function

Managing stored readings.

  1. Select user: Press USER button to toggle between User 1 and User 2.
  2. View memory: Press MEMORY button to scroll through stored readings.
  3. Delete reading: While viewing a reading, press and hold MEMORY to delete it.
  4. Clear all: With memory displayed, press and hold USER and MEMORY for 3 seconds.
  5. Average reading: Device automatically calculates average of last 3 measurements taken within 10 minutes.

Tip: Record readings in a log book for doctor visits.
