Device Overview

Front Panel: LCD display, START/STOP button, MEMORY button. Cuff: Air tube connector, D-ring fastener, artery marker.

Display Symbols: Systolic pressure, Diastolic pressure, Pulse rate, AFIB symbol, Irregular heartbeat symbol, User indicator (1/2), Memory full indicator, Battery low indicator, WHO classification bar, Date/Time.

Cuff Application: Position cuff on bare upper arm with artery marker over brachial artery. Secure with D-ring.

Before First Use

Prepare device for initial measurements.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Set date and time: Press and hold MEMORY button for 3 seconds, use START/STOP to adjust.
  3. Apply cuff correctly: Sit quietly for 5 minutes before first measurement.
  4. Test device: Take a practice measurement to ensure proper operation.

Tip: For accurate results, avoid eating, smoking, or exercising 30 minutes before measurement.

Taking a Measurement

Follow these steps for accurate readings.

  1. Sit comfortably on a chair with back support, feet flat on floor.
  2. Rest for 5 minutes before measuring.
  3. Apply cuff to left upper arm (unless instructed otherwise by doctor).
  4. Position cuff at heart level, tube facing downward.
  5. Press START/STOP button - device will inflate automatically.
  6. Remain still and quiet during measurement.
  7. Read results on display when measurement completes.
  8. Press START/STOP to turn off, or wait for automatic shutoff.

WARNING! Do not move or talk during measurement. Ensure cuff is at heart level for accurate results.

Memory Function

Stores up to 99 measurements for each of 2 users.

  1. Select user: Press MEMORY button before measurement to select User 1 or User 2.
  2. Recall memory: Press and release MEMORY button to scroll through stored readings.
  3. Clear memory: Press and hold MEMORY button for 5 seconds until "CLr" appears.
  4. Memory full: When memory is full, oldest reading is automatically deleted.

Note: Each reading includes date, time, systolic, diastolic, pulse rate, and any detection symbols.

Care & Maintenance

Proper care ensures accurate measurements and long device life.
