Device Overview

Front Panel: START/STOP button, MEMORY button, User selector (1/2), LCD display.

Display Symbols: Systolic pressure, Diastolic pressure, Pulse rate, User indicator (1 or 2), Battery icon, WHO bar graph, Irregular heartbeat symbol (heart with *), Date/Time, Memory full icon, Cuff error icon.

Side/Back: Cuff connector port, AC adapter port (DC 6V), Battery compartment cover.

Initial Setup

Power on and configure device.

  1. Insert Batteries: Open compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Set Date/Time: Press and hold MEMORY button for 3 seconds. Use START/STOP to adjust values, MEMORY to confirm and move to next setting.
  3. Select User: Press User selector button to choose User 1 or User 2.
  4. Attach Cuff: Connect cuff tube to the port on the side of the monitor until it clicks.

Tip: For first-time use, practice applying the cuff without turning the device on.

Taking a Measurement

For accurate results, follow these steps carefully.

  1. Rest for 5 minutes in a quiet sitting position.
  2. Apply cuff: Place cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow. Ensure tube runs down center of arm. Secure with D-Ring.
  3. Position arm: Rest arm on table so cuff is at heart level. Sit upright, feet flat, back supported.
  4. Start measurement: Press START/STOP. Cuff inflates automatically.
  5. Remain still and quiet until measurement is complete and cuff deflates.
  6. Read results: Systolic, diastolic, and pulse rate display. WHO indicator lights show category.
  7. Power off: Device turns off automatically after 1 minute, or press START/STOP.

WARNING! Do not move or talk during measurement. Do not inflate cuff without it being properly applied.

Memory Function

Stores 99 readings per user with date and time.

  1. Select User: Press User button to choose User 1 or User 2.
  2. View Memory: Press MEMORY button once. The most recent reading displays. Press again to scroll through previous readings.
  3. Average Function: If 3 readings were taken within 10 minutes, the average of those 3 displays first in memory mode (marked with "AVG").
  4. Clear Memory: To delete all readings for the selected user, press and hold the MEMORY button while in memory mode until "CLr" appears.

Note: Memory is retained when batteries are removed.

Irregular Heartbeat Symbol: If this icon flashes during or after measurement, it may indicate an irregular pulse rhythm. Consult your physician if it appears frequently.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug AC adapter (if used) and remove batteries before cleaning.

  1. Clean casing and cuff with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not immerse in water.
  2. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or alcohol.
  3. Store in the provided case in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  4. Replace batteries when the low battery icon appears on display.
  5. Do not disassemble the device.

CAUTION! The cuff contains a sensitive air bladder. Avoid sharp bends, kinks, or excessive force on the tube.
