Initial Setup

Prepare device for first use.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Set date and time: Press and hold M button for 3 seconds, use START/STOP to adjust.
  3. Select user: Briefly press M button to toggle between User 1 and User 2.
  4. Apply cuff correctly: Place cuff on bare upper arm with artery marker over brachial artery.

CAUTION! Do not mix old and new batteries. Remove batteries if device will not be used for extended period.

Taking a Measurement

For accurate results, follow these steps carefully.

  1. Sit comfortably with back supported and feet flat on floor.
  2. Rest for 5 minutes before measuring.
  3. Apply cuff to left upper arm (unless instructed otherwise by doctor).
  4. Position cuff so bottom edge is 2-3 cm above elbow.
  5. Ensure tube runs down center of arm.
  6. Press START/STOP button to begin measurement.
  7. Remain still and quiet during inflation and deflation.
  8. Results display automatically with WHO classification.
  9. Device automatically powers off after 1 minute.

Tip: Take measurements at same time each day for consistent tracking.

Memory Function

Stores 30 measurements per user with date and time.

  1. Select user: Press M button to choose User 1 or User 2.
  2. View memory: Press M button twice quickly to scroll through stored measurements.
  3. Clear memory: Press and hold M button for 5 seconds while in memory mode.
  4. Memory full: When 30 measurements stored, oldest is automatically deleted.

Note: Memory is maintained when batteries are replaced (within 5 minutes).

Care & Maintenance

Proper care ensures accuracy and longevity.

  1. Clean device with soft, dry cloth only. Do not use liquids or solvents.
  2. Store in provided case in cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  3. Remove batteries if device not used for more than 3 months.
  4. Replace cuff if it becomes damaged or shows signs of wear.
  5. Do not disassemble device. No user-serviceable parts inside.
