Device Overview

Initial Setup

Before first use: Install batteries and set date/time.

  1. Open battery compartment on back; insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Press the SET button to enter setup mode. Use START/STOP to adjust values, USER buttons to navigate (Year > Month > Day > Hour > Minute).
  3. Select user: Press USER 1 or USER 2 button to assign readings.
  4. Apply cuff: See next section for proper placement.

CAUTION! Use only recommended batteries. Remove batteries if device will not be used for an extended period.

Taking a Measurement

For accurate results, rest for 5 minutes before measuring.

  1. Sit comfortably with back supported, feet flat on floor.
  2. Wrap cuff on bare upper arm, 1-2 cm above elbow. Tube should run down center of arm.
  3. Ensure cuff is snug but not tight; you should fit one finger underneath.
  4. Rest arm on table so cuff is at heart level.
  5. Press START/STOP button. Cuff will inflate automatically.
  6. Remain still and quiet during measurement.
  7. Reading displays with systolic, diastolic, and pulse rate. Cuff deflates automatically.

Tip: Take measurements at the same time each day for consistent tracking.

Understanding Results

The display shows:

NOTE: AFIB detection is a screening tool, not a diagnosis. Consult a physician if symbol appears.

Memory & Data Management

Stores 99 readings per user.

  1. To recall memory: Press MEMORY button. Display shows average of last 3 readings.
  2. Press USER 1 or USER 2 to switch between users.
  3. Use START/STOP to scroll through individual readings with date/time.
  4. To delete all memory for current user: Hold MEMORY button for 3 seconds until display clears.

WARNING! Deleted memory cannot be recovered.

PC Connectivity

Transfer data to computer for tracking with Microlife software.

  1. Install "Microlife Health Management Software" from included CD or download from www.microlife.com.
  2. Connect monitor to PC USB port using provided cable.
  3. Open software and follow on-screen instructions to sync data.
  4. View graphs, trends, and print reports for physician review.

Tip: Software may require Windows 7 or later, macOS X 10.9 or later.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug cuff tube and remove batteries before cleaning.

  1. Wipe monitor with slightly damp cloth; do not immerse in water.
  2. Cuff may be hand-washed in mild soapy water; air dry completely before use.
  3. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  4. Replace batteries when low battery icon appears.

CAUTION! Do not use alcohol, benzene, or abrasive cleaners. Do not disassemble the device.
