Initial Setup

Prepare device for first use.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Set date and time: Press and hold MEMORY button for 3 seconds, use START/STOP to adjust values.
  3. Connect cuff: Plug cuff tube firmly into the connector port on the side of the device.
  4. AC adapter (optional): Plug adapter into power port and wall outlet for continuous power.

Tip: For most accurate readings, measure at the same time each day under similar conditions.

Taking a Measurement

Follow these steps for accurate readings.

  1. Prepare: Sit comfortably with back supported, feet flat on floor, legs uncrossed.
  2. Apply cuff: Place cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow, align artery marker with brachial artery.
  3. Position arm: Rest arm on table with cuff at heart level.
  4. Select user: Press MEMORY button to select User 1 or User 2 (indicator appears).
  5. Start measurement: Press START/STOP button. Cuff will inflate automatically.
  6. Remain still: Do not move, talk, or tense muscles during measurement.
  7. Read results: Systolic, diastolic pressures and pulse rate display with WHO indicator.
  8. Automatic deflation: Cuff deflates completely after measurement.

WARNING! Do not inflate cuff when not wrapped around arm. Excessive pressure may cause injury.

Memory & Data Management

Stores and recalls measurements for tracking.

  1. View memory: Press MEMORY button to scroll through stored readings for selected user.
  2. Average reading: After 3 measurements taken within 10 minutes, average automatically displays.
  3. Delete memory: Press and hold MEMORY button for 5 seconds while in memory mode to delete all readings for current user.
  4. Memory full: When 99 readings stored, oldest reading is automatically overwritten.

Note: Each user's memory is separate. Ensure correct user is selected before measuring.

Bluetooth Connectivity

Pair with smartphone apps for data tracking.

  1. Install app: Download "Microlife Connected Health" or compatible app from App Store or Google Play.
  2. Enable Bluetooth: Turn on Bluetooth on your smartphone/tablet.
  3. Pair device: Press and hold Bluetooth button on monitor for 3 seconds until Bluetooth symbol flashes.
  4. Connect in app: Follow app instructions to find and connect to "BP A6 BT".
  5. Automatic transfer: Subsequent measurements automatically transfer to paired device when in range.

Tip: Keep monitor within 10 meters (33 feet) of paired device for reliable connection.

Care & Maintenance
