Parts Identification

Familiarize yourself with the main components of the device.

  1. Main Unit: Contains the display, control buttons, and air hose connector.
  2. Arm Cuff: With Velcro closure and air tube. Marked with artery index line.
  3. AC Adapter Connector: Located on the side of the main unit.

Initial Setup & Battery Installation

Applying the Cuff

Correct cuff application is essential for an accurate reading.

Steps:

  1. Sit comfortably with back supported and feet flat on the floor for 5 minutes.
  2. Bare your left arm and slide the cuff onto your arm. The air tube should run down the center of your arm, aligned with your middle finger.
  3. The lower edge of the cuff should be 2-3 cm above your elbow. The artery marker (Φ) should be over your brachial artery.
  4. Secure the cuff snugly with the Velcro. You should be able to fit one finger between the cuff and your arm.
  5. Rest your arm on a table so the cuff is at heart level.

Tip: Always use the same arm for measurements, preferably the left arm.

Taking a Measurement

For the most accurate results, remain still and quiet during measurement.

  1. Press the START/STOP button. All display symbols will appear briefly.
  2. The cuff will inflate automatically. The current pressure is shown.
  3. During deflation, the pulse symbol flashes with each heartbeat.
  4. The measurement result (SYS/DIA and Pulse) is displayed along with the WHO indicator.
  5. If an irregular heartbeat or AFIB is detected, the corresponding symbol will appear.
  6. The device automatically stores the reading and powers down after 1 minute.

WARNING! Do not move or talk during measurement. Ensure you are relaxed.

Understanding the Results

The WHO Hypertension Indicator bar is color-coded for quick assessment.

  1. Systolic Pressure (SYS): The higher number, pressure when the heart contracts.
  2. Diastolic Pressure (DIA): The lower number, pressure when the heart relaxes.
  3. Pulse: Heartbeats per minute.
  4. WHO Indicator: Green (Normal), Yellow (Mild Hypertension), Orange (Moderate), Red (Severe).
  5. Irregular Heartbeat Symbol: Appears if significant pulse irregularities are detected.
  6. AFIB Symbol: Appears if the screening suggests possible atrial fibrillation.

Note: A single high reading is not a diagnosis. Track your readings over time and consult your doctor.

Memory Function & Data Management

Press the Memory (M) button to access stored data and settings.

Features: Select User (U1-U4), View readings with date/time, Delete individual or all readings for a user, Set date and time, Set user initials.

Care & Maintenance

Clean the device and cuff with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not immerse in water or use harsh chemicals.

CAUTION! Do not wash the cuff. Store the device in the provided case in a cool, dry place. Avoid extreme temperatures and humidity.
