Device Overview

Front Panel: LCD Display, START/STOP Button, Memory (M) Button. Side: AC Adapter Socket. Rear: Battery Compartment, Cuff Socket.

Display Symbols: Systolic Pressure, Diastolic Pressure, Pulse Rate, User Indicator (1 or 2), Memory Full, Irregular Heartbeat Symbol, Body Movement Symbol, WHO Classification Bar, Low Battery, Date/Time.

Cuff: D-Ring for easy application, Air Tube with connector, Artery Marker (align with brachial artery).

Initial Setup

Prepare device for first use.

  1. Insert Batteries: Open battery compartment on rear, insert 4 AA batteries observing correct polarity.
  2. Set Date and Time: Press and hold M button for 3 seconds until date flashes. Use START/STOP to adjust values, M to confirm and move to next setting.
  3. Apply Cuff: Sit comfortably with feet flat on floor. Wrap cuff on bare upper left arm 1-2 cm above elbow. Artery marker should align with inner arm. Cuff should be snug but not tight.
  4. Rest for 5 minutes before first measurement.

CAUTION! Do not over-tighten cuff. Ensure tube is not kinked.

Taking a Measurement

For most accurate results, measure at the same time each day.

  1. Sit comfortably with back supported and legs uncrossed.
  2. Place arm on table so cuff is at heart level.
  3. Press START/STOP button. Device will inflate automatically.
  4. Remain still and quiet during measurement. Do not talk or move arm.
  5. Measurement completes when cuff deflates fully. Results display with systolic, diastolic, and pulse rate.
  6. Device automatically stores reading (for last user used).
  7. To turn off, press START/STOP again or wait 1 minute for auto power-off.

Tip: Avoid eating, drinking caffeine, smoking, or exercising 30 minutes before measurement.

Memory Function

Stores up to 99 readings for each of two users.

  1. Select User: Press M button briefly to toggle between User 1 and User 2 (indicator on display).
  2. Recall Memory: Press and hold M button for 2 seconds to enter memory mode. Use START/STOP to scroll through stored readings with date/time.
  3. Delete All Memory: In memory mode, press and hold M button for 5 seconds until "CLR" appears. Release to delete all readings for current user.
  4. Memory Full: When 99 readings are stored, oldest reading is automatically overwritten.

Note: Memory is maintained when batteries are replaced if done within 2 minutes.

Special Features

Irregular Heartbeat Detection: If an irregular pulse is detected during measurement, the irregular heartbeat symbol flashes with result. Consult physician if this occurs frequently.

WHO Classification: After measurement, a bar graph shows where your reading falls according to WHO categories (optimal, normal, high-normal, etc.).

Body Movement Detection: If movement is detected, measurement pauses and movement symbol appears. Remain still to resume.

Intellisense: Technology determines optimal inflation pressure for each user, minimizing discomfort.

Care & Maintenance

Clean device with soft, dry cloth. Do not use solvents or immerse in water.

  1. Cuff Care: Wipe with damp cloth and mild detergent if soiled. Do not machine wash or iron.
  2. Storage: Keep in provided case in a cool, dry place. Do not store with cuff tightly wrapped.
  3. Batteries: Replace when low battery symbol appears. Remove batteries if device will not be used for extended period.
  4. Do not disassemble device. No user-serviceable parts inside.

CAUTION! Never wash or sterilize the cuff in an autoclave. Avoid sharp objects near cuff.
