Device Overview

Familiarize yourself with the monitor and cuff.

Front Panel: START/STOP button, MEMORY button, USER 1/USER 2 selector, LCD display.

LCD Display Icons: Systolic pressure, Diastolic pressure, Pulse rate, User indicator, Memory number, Battery level, WHO classification bar, Irregular heartbeat symbol, Date/Time, Average mode indicator.

Cuff: Marked with ARTERY index line, Velcro closure, metal D-ring, air plug connector.

Initial Setup

Prepare the device for first use.

  1. Insert Batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing correct polarity.
  2. Set Date & Time: Press and hold MEMORY button for 3 seconds. Use START/STOP to adjust values.
  3. Select User: Press USER button to select USER 1 or USER 2.
  4. Apply Cuff: Place cuff on bare upper arm. The ARTERY mark should align with brachial artery.
  5. Cuff Fit: The cuff should be snug but allow one finger underneath. Sit with feet flat, back supported.

Tip: Measure at the same time each day for consistent tracking.

Taking a Measurement

Follow these steps for an accurate reading.

  1. Rest seated for 5 minutes. Avoid caffeine, smoking, or exercise 30 minutes prior.
  2. Wrap cuff on left arm (or arm specified by your doctor). Position 1-2 cm above elbow.
  3. Ensure tube runs down the center of your arm.
  4. Press the START/STOP button. The cuff will inflate automatically.
  5. Remain still and quiet. Do not move your arm or talk.
  6. The cuff will deflate. Your systolic, diastolic pressure, and pulse will display.
  7. The reading is automatically saved to the selected user's memory.
  8. For average mode, take 3 readings within 10 minutes. The average will display after the 3rd.

WARNING! Do not inflate cuff while wrapped around arm without the monitor. Excessive pressure can cause injury.

Memory Function

Storing and recalling measurements.

  1. Auto-Save: Every measurement is saved automatically to the current user's next available slot.
  2. Recall Memory: Press the MEMORY button briefly. Use START/STOP to scroll through stored readings (M01-M30).
  3. Switch Users: Press USER button to toggle between USER 1 and USER 2 memory banks (30 slots each).
  4. Clear Memory: To clear all memory for the current user, press and hold the USER button for 5 seconds while in memory recall mode. 'CLr' will flash.

CAUTION! Clearing memory is irreversible. Ensure you have recorded important data elsewhere.

Care & Maintenance
