Package Contents

Unpack and inspect all contents. Contact your retailer if anything is missing or damaged.

CAUTION! Use only the cuff supplied with this device. Using an incorrect cuff may result in inaccurate measurements.

Device Overview

Familiarize yourself with the main unit and display symbols.

Front Panel: START/STOP button, Memory (M) button, LCD Display.

LCD Display Symbols: Systolic Pressure, Diastolic Pressure, Pulse Rate, AFIB symbol, Irregular Heartbeat symbol, WHO Indicator Bar, Memory Index, Average Symbol, Date/Time, Low Battery.

Cuff Connection Port: Located on the left side of the main unit.

Battery Compartment: Located on the back of the main unit.

First-Time Setup

Prepare the device for its first use.

  1. Insert Batteries: Open the battery compartment on the back. Insert 4 AA batteries, observing correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment.
  2. Set Date and Time: Press and hold the M button for 3 seconds until the year flashes. Use START/STOP to adjust values and M to confirm and move to next setting (month, day, hour, minute).
  3. Attach the Cuff: Push the metal D-ring through the cloth loop to form a circle. Connect the cuff tube to the port on the left side of the monitor until it clicks.

Tip: For accurate time-stamping of readings, set the correct date and time immediately after inserting batteries.

Taking a Measurement

For the most accurate results, follow these steps carefully.

  1. Prepare: Rest for 5 minutes before measuring. Avoid eating, smoking, or exercising for 30 minutes prior. Sit in a chair with your feet flat on the floor.
  2. Apply the Cuff: Place the cuff on your bare left upper arm. The artery marker (↓) should point to the brachial artery on the inside of your arm. The bottom edge of the cuff should be 1-2 cm above your elbow. Tighten the cuff snugly using the cloth closure.
  3. Position: Rest your arm on a table so the cuff is at heart level. Relax your hand with palm facing up.
  4. Measure: Press the START/STOP button. The cuff will inflate automatically. Remain still and quiet until the measurement is complete and the cuff deflates. Your results will display.
  5. Power Off: The device will turn off automatically after 1 minute, or press START/STOP to turn it off immediately.

WARNING! Do not move or talk during measurement, as this may cause inaccurate results.

Understanding Your Results

The LCD display shows your systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, and pulse rate.

Note: A single high reading is not a diagnosis of hypertension. Track your readings over time and share them with your physician.

Memory Function

The device stores the last 99 readings with date and time.

  1. View Memory: Press the M button once. The most recent reading appears with its memory index (e.g., 99).
  2. Scroll Through Memory: Press the M button repeatedly to scroll backwards through all stored readings.
  3. View Average: When viewing a stored reading, if an average symbol (AVG) appears, it indicates this reading was part of an average calculation (last 3 readings within 10 minutes).
  4. Clear All Memory: With the device off, press and hold the M button. While holding it, press START/STOP. Release both buttons when "CLr" appears. All memory will be erased.

Battery & Power

CAUTION! Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not use rechargeable (Ni-MH) batteries unless specified as compatible, as they may provide lower voltage.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug the cuff tube and remove batteries before cleaning.

  1. Main Unit: Wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not immerse in water or use abrasive cleaners.
  2. Cuff: Wipe with a cloth dampened with mild soapy water. Do not machine wash, dry clean, iron, or bleach. Allow to air dry completely before use.
  3. Storage: Store the device and cuff in the provided case in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

WARNING! Never submerge the main unit in water or any other liquid. Do not use alcohol, benzene, or thinner to clean the device.
