Device Overview

Front Panel: LCD Display, START/STOP Button. Side: Battery Compartment. Rear: Air Tube Connector.

Display Symbols: Systolic Pressure, Diastolic Pressure, Pulse Rate, Irregular Heartbeat Symbol (heart icon with cross), Memory Symbol (M), WHO Indicator Bar, Cuff Fit Indicator (OK), Low Battery Symbol, Date/Time.

Cuff: Marked with "ARTERIA" to align with brachial artery. D-ring for secure fastening.

Setting Up the Monitor

Prepare the monitor for first use.

  1. Insert Batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Set Date and Time: Press the MEMORY button for 3 seconds. Use START/STOP to adjust values, MEMORY to confirm and move to next setting.
  3. Connect Cuff: Ensure air tube is firmly plugged into the socket on the side of the monitor.
  4. Apply Cuff: Sit quietly for 5 minutes. Wrap cuff on bare upper arm, 1-2 cm above elbow. "ARTERIA" mark should be over inner arm. Secure with D-ring. Tube runs down center of arm.

Tip: Rest arm on a table so the cuff is at heart level during measurement.

Taking a Measurement

For accurate results, remain still and quiet.

  1. Position: Sit on a chair with back supported, feet flat on floor. Place cuff on left arm (or as advised by doctor).
  2. Start: Press START/STOP button. The cuff will inflate automatically.
  3. Measurement: Remain still, do not talk. The cuff will deflate slowly. Your readings will appear on the display.
  4. Completion: The monitor beeps and displays systolic, diastolic pressure, and pulse rate. The cuff deflates fully.
  5. Power Off: The device turns off automatically after 1 minute, or press START/STOP to turn off immediately.

WARNING! Do not move or tighten muscles during measurement. Wait at least 3 minutes between readings on the same person.

Understanding the Display

After measurement, the LCD shows:

If an error occurs, an error symbol (E) with a number will flash. Refer to troubleshooting.

Memory Function

Stores last 30 readings with date and time.

  1. View Memory: Press MEMORY button once. The last reading appears. Press again to scroll through previous readings.
  2. Average Value: After displaying the last three stored readings, the display shows "AVG" and the average of those three readings.
  3. Clear Memory: To delete all memory, press and hold the MEMORY button while turning on the device (press START/STOP). "CLr" will appear, then all data is erased.

Note: Memory is maintained when batteries are replaced if done within 2 minutes.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug air tube and remove batteries before cleaning.

  1. Clean casing with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not use solvents or abrasives.
  2. Do not immerse the monitor, cuff, or tube in water.
  3. Store in the provided case in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  4. Do not bend or kink the air tube.
  5. Replace batteries when low battery symbol appears.

CAUTION! Do not attempt to repair or disassemble the device. There are no user-serviceable parts inside.
