Initial Setup

Before first use, install batteries or connect AC adapter.

  1. Insert batteries: Open compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Set date/time: Press DATE/TIME button, use START/STOP to adjust values.
  3. Connect cuff: Plug air tube firmly into device connector.
  4. Select user: Press USER button to choose User 1 or User 2.

CAUTION! Do not mix old and new batteries. Remove batteries if device will not be used for extended period.

Taking a Measurement

For accurate results, rest for 5 minutes before measuring.

  1. Sit comfortably with back supported and feet flat on floor.
  2. Wrap cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow crease.
  3. Ensure cuff fits snugly but not too tight (should fit one finger underneath).
  4. Position arm so cuff is at heart level (rest on table).
  5. Press START/STOP button - device will inflate automatically.
  6. Remain still and quiet during measurement.
  7. Read results on display when measurement completes.
  8. Press START/STOP to turn off or wait for auto power-off.

Tip: Take measurements at same time each day for consistent tracking.

Understanding Results

The display shows systolic pressure (top), diastolic pressure (middle), and pulse rate (bottom).

Note: AFIB detection is a screening tool only. Consult physician if symbol appears frequently.

Memory Function

Device stores 99 readings for each of 2 users with date/time stamp.

  1. View memory: Press MEMORY button to scroll through stored readings.
  2. Switch users: Press USER button to select User 1 or User 2 before viewing.
  3. Clear memory: Hold MEMORY button for 3 seconds when viewing memory (clears current user only).
  4. Average reading: First value shown in memory mode is average of last 3 readings.

CAUTION! Clearing memory cannot be undone. Consider recording readings elsewhere before clearing.

Care & Maintenance

Clean device with soft, dry cloth only. Do not immerse in water or use chemicals.

  1. Store in cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  2. Remove batteries if not using for more than 1 month.
  3. Clean cuff with mild soap and damp cloth if soiled; air dry completely.
  4. Do not fold cuff tightly; store loosely rolled in case.
  5. Inspect cuff periodically for cracks or leaks.
