Device Overview

Front Panel: LCD display, START/STOP button, Memory 1 button, Memory 2 button, Date/Time set button.

Display Symbols: Systolic pressure, Diastolic pressure, Pulse rate, Irregular heartbeat symbol, User indicator (1 or 2), Battery indicator, Risk category bar, Date and time, Memory full indicator.

Cuff: Velcro closure, air tube, artery marker (align with brachial artery).

Initial Setup

Prepare device for first use.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Set date and time: Press and hold Date/Time button, use START/STOP to adjust values.
  3. Connect cuff: Plug cuff tube firmly into connector port on left side of device.
  4. Test device: Without wearing cuff, press START/STOP to verify display activates.

Tip: For most accurate results, use AC adapter if available to ensure consistent power.

Taking a Measurement

For accurate readings, follow these steps carefully.

  1. Rest for 5 minutes before measuring. Sit comfortably with feet flat on floor.
  2. Apply cuff: Place cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow. Align artery marker with brachial artery.
  3. Position arm: Rest arm on table with cuff at heart level. Palm facing upward.
  4. Select user: Press Memory 1 or Memory 2 button to select user profile.
  5. Start measurement: Press START/STOP button. Cuff will inflate automatically.
  6. Remain still: Do not move, talk, or tense muscles during measurement.
  7. Read results: Systolic, diastolic, and pulse rate display automatically. Risk category appears.
  8. Store reading: Measurement automatically saves to selected user memory.

WARNING! Do not inflate cuff when not wrapped around arm. Wait at least 3 minutes between measurements on same arm.

Memory & Data Management

Device stores 99 readings per user with date and time.

  1. Select user: Press Memory 1 or Memory 2 before measurement.
  2. Recall memory: Press and hold Memory 1 or Memory 2 for 3 seconds to view stored readings.
  3. Scroll readings: While in memory mode, press START/STOP to scroll through readings.
  4. Clear memory: With device off, press and hold both Memory buttons for 5 seconds until "CLr" appears.
  5. Memory full: When memory is full, oldest reading is automatically overwritten.

Tip: Record readings in a log book for sharing with your healthcare provider.

Irregular Heartbeat Symbol: If this symbol appears during measurement, pulse irregularity was detected. Take 2-3 more measurements. If symbol appears frequently, consult your physician.

Care & Maintenance

Proper care ensures accurate measurements and long device life.

  1. Clean device with soft, dry cloth only. Do not use chemicals or immerse in water.
  2. Store in provided case when not in use. Keep away from extreme temperatures and humidity.
  3. Replace batteries when low battery symbol appears. Remove batteries if not using for extended period.
  4. Inspect cuff regularly for wear or damage. Replace if cracked or leaking.
  5. Do not disassemble device. No user-serviceable parts inside.

CAUTION! Never wash cuff in washing machine. Spot clean only with damp cloth.
