Initial Setup

Prepare the monitor for first use.

Taking a Measurement

For reliable results, follow these steps carefully.

  1. Rest: Sit quietly for 5 minutes before measuring. Avoid caffeine, exercise, and smoking 30 minutes prior.
  2. Position: Sit with back supported, feet flat on floor. Place arm on table with palm up, cuff at heart level.
  3. Apply Cuff: Wrap cuff snugly around bare upper arm, 1-2 cm above elbow. Artery marker should align with brachial artery.
  4. Start: Press START/STOP. Cuff will inflate automatically. Remain still and quiet during measurement.
  5. Read Results: After deflation, systolic/diastolic pressure, pulse rate, and WHO indicator will display.
  6. Power Off: Device turns off automatically after 1 minute, or press START/STOP to turn off immediately.

WARNING! Do not move or talk during measurement. Ensure cuff is at heart level for accurate readings.

Advanced Functions

Utilizing the monitor's special features.

Microlife Average Mode (MAM): Press MAM button before starting. Monitor takes 3 consecutive readings with 30-second pauses and displays the average. Ideal for tracking true blood pressure.

Memory Recall: Press MEMORY button to scroll through stored readings for the selected user. Display shows reading number, values, date, time, and irregular heartbeat symbol if detected.

Irregular Heartbeat Detection: If an irregular pulse is detected during measurement, the symbol will flash on display. Consult your physician if this occurs frequently.

WHO Classification: After measurement, the color bar indicates category: Green (Normal), Yellow (Prehypertension), Red (Hypertension).

PC Connectivity & Software

Transferring data to your computer for tracking and analysis.

  1. Install Software: Insert CD, follow on-screen instructions to install "Microlife Health Management Software" on your PC.
  2. Connect Monitor: Use USB cable to connect monitor to PC USB port. Open software.
