Device Overview

Front Panel: LCD Display, START/STOP Button. Side: Battery Compartment. Rear: Air Tube Connector.

LCD Display Symbols: Systolic Pressure, Diastolic Pressure, Pulse Rate, WHO Indicator Bar, Irregular Heartbeat Symbol (IHD), Memory Number, Date & Time, Battery Indicator, Error Symbols.

Cuff: Velcro closure, metal D-ring, artery marker (▲).

Setting Up the Monitor

Prepare the device for first use.

  1. Insert Batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing correct polarity (+/-).
  2. Set Date & Time: Press and hold START/STOP button for 3 seconds. Use the START/STOP button to adjust values. Press MEMORY button to confirm and move to next setting.
  3. Apply Cuff: Sit comfortably. Place cuff on bare upper arm. Artery marker (▲) should align with brachial artery on inner arm. Cuff edge should be 2-3 cm above elbow. Secure with Velcro.
  4. Connect Tube: Plug air tube firmly into connector on side of monitor.

Tip: Rest for 5 minutes before first measurement. Avoid talking or moving during setup.

Taking a Measurement

Follow these steps for accurate readings.

  1. Position: Sit on chair with back supported, feet flat on floor. Rest arm on table so cuff is at heart level.
  2. Wrap Cuff: Ensure correct positioning as described in Setup.
  3. Start: Press START/STOP button. Cuff will inflate automatically.
  4. Remain Still: Do not move, talk, or tense muscles during measurement.
  5. Read Results: After deflation, systolic/diastolic pressure and pulse rate display. WHO indicator shows classification.
  6. Store: Reading is automatically stored in memory with time stamp.
  7. Power Off: Device turns off automatically after 1 minute.

WARNING! Do not inflate cuff more than once within 2-3 minutes to avoid discomfort or inaccurate readings.

Understanding Results

Interpreting the display.

Note: Single readings may vary. Track trends over time. Consult your physician for interpretation.

Memory Function

Stores last 30 measurements with date and time.

  1. View Memory: Press MEMORY button. Most recent reading displays with memory number (e.g., M01).
  2. Scroll: Press MEMORY button repeatedly to scroll through all stored readings.
  3. Clear Memory: With memory displayed, press and hold MEMORY button for 3 seconds. "CLr" appears and all memory is erased.
  4. Exit: Device returns to standby mode automatically after 1 minute.

Tip: Record readings in a log for doctor visits. Memory is retained when batteries are replaced.

Battery Information

Powered by 4 x 1.5V AA batteries (alkaline recommended).

CAUTION! Use recommended battery type. Do not recharge non-rechargeable batteries. Dispose of batteries properly.

Care & Maintenance

Proper care ensures accuracy and longevity.

  1. Cleaning: Wipe monitor and cuff with slightly damp cloth. Do not immerse in water. Do not use solvents.
  2. Storage: Keep in provided case in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
  3. Cuff Care: Do not fold tube sharply. Do not over-tighten Velcro.
  4. Inspection: Check cuff and tube for cracks or leaks periodically.
