Specifications

Initial Setup

Prepare device for first use.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Set date/time: Press and hold MEMORY button for 3 seconds, use START to adjust.
  3. Connect cuff: Plug air tube into port on left side of main unit until click.
  4. Select user: Press MEMORY button to toggle between User 1 and User 2.

Tip: For most accurate results, wait 5 minutes after battery installation before first measurement.

Taking a Measurement

For accurate results, follow these steps carefully.

  1. Sit comfortably with back supported and feet flat on floor.
  2. Rest for 5 minutes before measurement. Avoid talking or moving during measurement.
  3. Wrap cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow. Cuff tube should align with artery.
  4. Position cuff at heart level. Arm should be relaxed on table.
  5. Press START button. Device will inflate automatically.
  6. Remain still and quiet during measurement.
  7. Results display with systolic/diastolic pressure, pulse rate, and WHO indicator.
  8. Device automatically deflates and stores reading in selected user memory.

WARNING! Do not inflate cuff when not wrapped around arm. Maximum 3 consecutive measurements with 2-minute rest between.

Memory Function

Device stores 60 measurements for each of 2 users.

  1. Select user: Press MEMORY button to choose User 1 or User 2 (icon displays).
  2. View memory: Press and release MEMORY button to scroll through stored readings.
  3. Each display shows: Measurement number, systolic/diastolic, pulse, date, time.
  4. Delete memory: Press and hold MEMORY button for 5 seconds while in memory mode to clear current user's memory.
  5. Average of last 3 readings: Displayed when memory contains at least 3 measurements.

Note: Memory is maintained when batteries are replaced if done within 2 minutes.

Care & Maintenance

Clean device with soft, dry cloth only. Do not use liquids or chemicals.

  1. Store in cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  2. Remove batteries if device not used for extended period.
  3. Clean cuff with mild soap and damp cloth if soiled. Air dry completely.
  4. Do not immerse any part in water.
  5. Check cuff periodically for cracks or leaks.

CAUTION! Do not autoclave, sterilize, or expose to high temperatures. Keep away from children.
