Device Overview

Front Panel: LCD Display, START/STOP Button, MEMORY Button, User Selector Icon (U1/U2).

Display Symbols: Systolic Pressure, Diastolic Pressure, Pulse Rate, User Icon (U1/U2), Battery Indicator, Irregular Heartbeat Symbol ( ), Hypertension Indicator Bar, Memory Full Icon, Date/Time, Average Icon.

Side/Back: AC Adapter Socket, Cuff Tube Connector, Battery Compartment Cover.

Cuff: D-ring, Cloth wrap, Air tube, Artery marker (align with brachial artery).

Initial Setup

  1. Insert Batteries: Open battery compartment on back, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity. Close cover.
  2. Set Date & Time: Press and hold MEMORY button for 3 seconds until year flashes. Use START/STOP to adjust values, MEMORY to confirm and move to next setting (Month, Day, Hour, Minute).
  3. Select User: Press MEMORY briefly to toggle between User 1 (U1) and User 2 (U2). The active user icon will show on display.
  4. Connect Cuff: Plug cuff tube firmly into the connector on the side of the device.

Tip: For most accurate results, use the AC adapter to conserve battery life during frequent use.

Taking a Measurement

For reliable readings, follow these steps carefully.

  1. Prepare: Rest for 5 minutes before measuring. Avoid caffeine, exercise, and smoking for 30 minutes prior.
  2. Apply Cuff: Sit comfortably with back supported and feet flat. Place cuff on bare upper arm. The bottom edge should be 2-3 cm above elbow. Align artery marker with inner arm. Secure snugly with D-ring.
  3. Position Arm: Rest arm on a table so the cuff is at heart level. Palm facing up, relax your hand.
  4. Start Measurement: Press START/STOP button. The cuff will inflate automatically. Remain still and quiet.
  5. Read Results: After deflation, systolic, diastolic pressure, and pulse rate will display. The hypertension bar will show color zone. An irregular heartbeat symbol will appear if detected.
  6. Power Off: Device turns off automatically about 1 minute after measurement.

WARNING! Do not inflate cuff when not wrapped around arm. Excessive pressure may cause injury.

Memory Function

The device stores the last 99 readings for each of two users, with date and time.

  1. Recall Memory: Press MEMORY button once. The most recent reading for the selected user (U1/U2) displays. Press MEMORY repeatedly to scroll through older readings.
  2. View Average: After the third consecutive reading (taken within 10 minutes), the display will automatically show the average of the last three readings for a few seconds.
  3. Clear Memory: To clear memory for the current user, press and hold both START/STOP and MEMORY buttons for 3 seconds until "CLr" appears. Release buttons. Memory for the other user is retained.

Note: When memory is full, the oldest reading is automatically overwritten by the newest.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug AC adapter and remove batteries before cleaning.

  1. Cleaning: Wipe device and cuff with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not immerse in water or use solvents.
  2. Storage: Store in the provided case in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  3. Cuff Care: Do not fold the cuff tightly or twist the air tube. Do not wash the cuff.
  4. Batteries: Replace batteries when low battery icon appears. Remove batteries if device will not be used for a long time.

CAUTION! Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the device. There are no user-serviceable parts inside.
