Before First Use

Prepare device for initial measurement.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Set date and time: Press and hold MEMORY button for 3 seconds, use START/STOP to adjust.
  3. Select user: Press USER SELECT to choose User 1 or User 2.
  4. Apply cuff properly: Position cuff on bare upper arm with artery marker over brachial artery.
  5. Rest before measurement: Sit quietly for 5 minutes with feet flat on floor.

Tip: For most accurate results, take measurements at the same time each day.

Taking a Measurement

Follow these steps for accurate readings.

  1. Sit comfortably with back supported and feet flat on floor.
  2. Place cuff on left upper arm (unless instructed otherwise by physician).
  3. Position cuff 1-2 cm above elbow with tube facing downward.
  4. Secure cuff snugly but not too tight (should fit one finger underneath).
  5. Rest arm on table with palm up, cuff at heart level.
  6. Press START/STOP button to begin measurement.
  7. Remain still and quiet during inflation and measurement.
  8. Read results on display when measurement completes.
  9. Press START/STOP to turn off or wait for automatic shutoff.

WARNING! Do not move or talk during measurement. Ensure cuff is at heart level.

Memory Function

Stores up to 99 measurements per user.

  1. View memory: Press MEMORY button to scroll through stored readings.
  2. Average value: Display shows average of last 3 measurements for current user.
  3. Clear memory: Press and hold MEMORY button for 5 seconds while in memory mode.
  4. User selection: Press USER SELECT to switch between User 1 and User 2 memory.

Note: Memory includes date, time, systolic, diastolic, pulse, and irregular heartbeat indicator for each reading.

Battery Information

CAUTION! Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix alkaline and rechargeable batteries. Remove batteries if device will not be used for extended period.

Care & Cleaning

Remove batteries before cleaning. Use only slightly damp cloth; do not immerse in water.

  1. Clean cuff with mild soap and damp cloth; air dry completely.
  2. Clean main unit with dry or slightly damp cloth.
  3. Do not use alcohol, solvents, or abrasive cleaners.
  4. Store in cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  5. Do not fold cuff tightly; store loosely in case.

WARNING! Never wash cuff in washing machine. Do not expose to extreme temperatures or humidity.
