Device Overview

Familiarize yourself with the monitor's parts.

Front Panel: LCD Display, START/STOP Button, Memory (M) Button, User Selection Button (1/2), Date/Time Set Button.

Side/Back: Cuff Port, AC Adapter Socket, Battery Compartment (for 4 x AA batteries).

Cuff: Cloth cuff with metal D-ring, air tube, and Velcro closure. Marked with artery alignment guide.

Initial Setup

Prepare the monitor for first use.

  1. Insert Batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing correct polarity. Alternatively, connect the AC adapter.
  2. Set Date & Time: Press and hold the Date/Time button. Use START/STOP to adjust values, Memory (M) to confirm and move to next setting.
  3. Cuff Preparation: Ensure cuff is not twisted. The air tube should run down the inside of your arm.
  4. User Selection: Press the User button to select User 1 or User 2 for memory storage.

Tip: For most accurate results, rest for 5 minutes before first measurement.

Taking a Measurement

Follow these steps for a proper reading.

  1. Sit comfortably on a chair with back support, feet flat on the floor.
  2. Place your left arm (recommended) on a table so the cuff is at heart level.
  3. Wrap the cuff around your bare upper arm. The bottom edge should be 2-3 cm above the elbow. The artery mark (◯) should align with the brachial artery.
  4. Secure the cuff snugly with the Velcro.
  5. Press the START/STOP button. The monitor will inflate automatically.
  6. Remain still and quiet during inflation and measurement.
  7. The measurement is complete when the cuff deflates fully and results are displayed.
  8. Press START/STOP to turn off, or it will power off automatically after 1 minute.

WARNING! Do not move or talk during measurement. Do not over-tighten the cuff.

Memory Function

Review and manage stored readings.

  1. View Memory: Press the Memory (M) button. The most recent reading for the selected user appears.
  2. Scroll: Press M again to scroll through previous readings in chronological order.
  3. Average: After displaying all readings, the screen will show the average of the last 3 readings taken in the morning or evening (if applicable to model).
  4. Clear Memory: To delete all readings for the current user, press and hold the M button while in memory mode until "CLR" appears. Release to confirm.

Note: Memory is separate for User 1 and User 2. Ensure correct user is selected.

AFIB Detection

The device screens for signs of atrial fibrillation.

Important: The absence of the AFIB symbol does not guarantee the absence of AFIB or other arrhythmias.

Care & Maintenance

Proper care ensures longevity and accuracy.

  1. Cleaning: Wipe the monitor and cuff with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not immerse in water or use solvents.
  2. Storage: Store in the provided case in a cool, dry place. Do not bend the air tube sharply.
  3. Batteries: Replace all 4 batteries when the low battery icon appears. Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period.
  4. Cuff: The cuff is not washable. Keep it clean and dry. Check for wear or cracks periodically.
  5. Accuracy Check: Have the monitor's accuracy verified by a healthcare professional every 2 years.

CAUTION! Do not disassemble the monitor. There are no user-serviceable parts inside.

Troubleshooting
