Device Overview

Familiarize yourself with the device components and display symbols.

Before First Use

Prepare the device for initial use.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Set date and time: Press SET button, use START/STOP to adjust values, press SET to confirm.
  3. Connect AC adapter: Plug into device and wall outlet (optional, for battery conservation).
  4. Apply cuff: Ensure cuff is properly sized for your arm (22-42 cm).

Taking a Measurement

For accurate results, follow these steps carefully.

  1. Sit comfortably: Rest for 5 minutes before measuring. Sit with back supported, feet flat.
  2. Apply cuff: Place cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow. Tube should run down center of arm.
  3. Position arm: Rest arm on table with cuff at heart level.
  4. Select user: Press USER button to select User 1 or User 2.
  5. Start measurement: Press START/STOP button. Cuff inflates automatically.
  6. Remain still: Do not move or talk during measurement.
  7. Read results: Display shows systolic, diastolic, and pulse rate. WHO indicator shows category.
  8. Automatic deflation: Cuff deflates completely after measurement.

Tip: Take measurements at the same time each day for consistent tracking.

Memory Function

The device stores 99 readings for each of two users.

  1. View memory: Press MEMORY button to scroll through stored readings.
  2. Memory full: When memory is full, oldest reading is overwritten.
  3. Average function: After 3 consecutive measurements (within 10 minutes), average is calculated automatically.
  4. Clear memory: To clear all readings, remove batteries for 5 minutes (resets both users).

NOTE: Each reading includes date, time, systolic, diastolic, pulse rate, and irregular heartbeat detection if applicable.
