Device Overview
Front Panel (LCD Display): Shows systolic/diastolic pressure, pulse rate, user icon, memory index, date/time, battery indicator, WHO bar graph, and warning symbols (IHD, hypertension).
Control Buttons:
START/STOP: Initiates and stops measurement.
M: Memory recall button. Press to review stored readings.
USER (U1/U2): Selects between User 1 and User 2 memory profiles.
SET: Used to set date, time, and user profile (hold for 3 seconds).

Initial Setup
Before first use, install batteries or connect the AC adapter.
- Power Source: Insert 4 AA batteries (observe polarity) or plug in the AC adapter.
- Set Date & Time: Hold the SET button for 3 seconds. Use START/STOP to adjust values and M to confirm/save.
- Select User: Press the USER button to select U1 or U2. The corresponding icon will appear on the display.
- Cuff Application: Place cuff on bare left upper arm. The hose should run down the inner arm, aligned with the middle finger. Secure snugly with Velcro.
Tip: For most accurate results, rest for 5 minutes before measuring. Avoid talking or moving during measurement.
Taking a Measurement
Follow these steps for a reliable reading.
- Sit comfortably on a chair with back support. Feet flat on the floor.
- Place your left arm on a table so the cuff is at heart level.
- Wrap the cuff correctly (see Initial Setup).
- Press the START/STOP button. The cuff will inflate automatically.
- Remain still and quiet. The monitor will display your pulse during measurement.
- The cuff will deflate automatically. Your systolic, diastolic pressure, and pulse rate will be displayed.
- The reading is automatically saved to the selected user's memory.
- To take another reading, wait at least 3 minutes before repeating the process.
WARNING! Do not inflate the cuff more than once within a 3-minute interval to ensure accuracy and comfort.
Understanding Results
The display shows key information and indicators.
- Systolic Pressure: Top number (e.g., 120).
- Diastolic Pressure: Bottom number (e.g., 80).
- Pulse Rate: Beats per minute (e.g., 72).
- WHO Bar Graph: Color-coded indicator (Green=Optimal, Yellow=Normal/High-Normal, Red=Hypertension).
- Irregular Heartbeat Symbol (IHD): Flashes if an irregular rhythm is detected during measurement. Consult your doctor if this appears frequently.
- Hypertension Indicator: A heart symbol flashes if systolic pressure ≥ 135 mmHg or diastolic ≥ 85 mmHg.
- User Icon (U1/U2): Indicates which user profile is active.
- Memory Index: Shows the position of the current reading in memory (e.g., 01-99).
Memory Function
The monitor stores 99 readings for each of the two users.
- Viewing Memory: Press the M button. The most recent reading appears. Press M repeatedly to scroll through older readings.
- Automatic Averaging: When three consecutive readings are taken within 10 minutes, the average of these three is automatically calculated and displayed briefly after the third reading.
- Clearing Memory: To clear all readings for the current user, hold the M button for 5 seconds until "CLR" appears. Release to confirm.
- Switching Users: Press the USER button to switch between U1 and U2 memory profiles.
Note: Memory is retained even when batteries are removed or replaced.
