  2. Contraindications: Do not use on an arm with an intravenous drip or arterial shunt.
  3. Precautions: Do not use the device near strong electromagnetic fields (e.g., mobile phones, microwave ovens).
  4. Batteries: Use only 4 AA (1.5V) alkaline batteries. Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period.
  5. Cuff Care: Do not twist or fold the cuff tube excessively. Do not wash the cuff.

Cuff: Cloth cuff with Velcro, metal D-ring, air tube, and artery marker.

Initial Setup

Before first use, install batteries and set the date and time.

  1. Insert Batteries: Open the battery compartment on the back. Insert 4 AA batteries, observing correct polarity (+/-). Close the cover.
  2. Set Date & Time: Press and hold the MEMORY button for 3 seconds until the year flashes. Use START/STOP to change value and MEMORY to confirm and move to month, day, hour, and minute.
  3. Select User: Briefly press MEMORY to toggle between User 1 and User 2 icon on the display.
  4. Connect Cuff: Plug the cuff tube firmly into the socket on the side of the device.

CAUTION! Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not use rechargeable batteries unless specified.

Taking a Measurement

For the most accurate results, rest for 5 minutes before measuring. Avoid eating, smoking, or exercising 30 minutes prior.

  1. Apply the Cuff: Sit comfortably with feet flat on the floor. Place cuff on bare left upper arm. The artery marker (▼) should align with your brachial artery. Secure with Velcro so it is snug but not tight.
  2. Position Arm: Rest your arm on a table so the cuff is at heart level. Relax your palm upward.
  3. Start Measurement: Press the START/STOP button. The device will check cuff fit, then inflate automatically.
  4. Remain Still: Do not move or talk during inflation and measurement.
  5. Read Results: After deflation, your systolic, diastolic pressure, and pulse rate will display along with the WHO indicator. The device will automatically store the reading for the selected user.
  6. Power Off: The device turns off automatically after 1 minute.

Tip: Take measurements at the same time each day for consistent tracking.

Understanding Your Results

The LCD displays three main values and a classification bar.

Memory Function

The device stores 60 measurements for each of two users with date and time.

  1. Select User: Press MEMORY briefly to choose User 1 or User 2 before taking a measurement.
  2. Recall Memory: Press and hold the MEMORY button for 2 seconds while the device is off. The most recent reading displays. Press MEMORY repeatedly to scroll through all stored readings for that user.
  3. View Average: After scrolling through all readings, the display will show "AVG" followed by the average of the last 3 consecutive measurements taken within 10 minutes of each other.
  4. Clear Memory: To delete all memory for the selected user, press and hold both START/STOP and MEMORY buttons for 5 seconds while in memory recall mode. "CLr" will flash.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug the AC adapter (if used) and remove batteries before cleaning.

  1. Cleaning: Wipe the main unit with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not use solvents or abrasives. Do not immerse in water.
  2. Cuff: Clean the cuff with a cloth dampened with mild soapy water. Do not machine wash, dry clean, or iron. Let it air dry completely.
  3. Storage: Store the device and cuff in the provided case in a cool, dry place. Avoid extreme temperatures and humidity.
  4. Batteries: Replace batteries when the low battery icon appears on the display. Remove batteries if the device will not be used for 3 months or more.
