Device Overview

Front Panel: LCD display, START/STOP button, MEMORY button.

Display Symbols: Systolic pressure, Diastolic pressure, Pulse rate, User indicator (1/2), Memory full, Battery low, Irregular heartbeat, WHO classification, Date/Time, Average value.

Initial Setup

Before first use, install batteries and set date/time.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Set date and time: Press and hold MEMORY button for 3 seconds until date flashes. Use START/STOP to adjust values, MEMORY to confirm and move to next setting.
  3. Select user: Press MEMORY briefly to toggle between User 1 and User 2.
  4. Cuff placement: Wrap cuff on bare upper arm, 1-2 cm above elbow. Align artery marker with brachial artery.

CAUTION! Use correct cuff size for accurate measurements. Cuff too loose or tight affects readings.

Taking a Measurement

For most accurate results, measure at same time each day.

  1. Sit comfortably with back supported and feet flat on floor.
  2. Rest for 5 minutes before measuring.
  3. Wrap cuff correctly on left arm (unless instructed otherwise by doctor).
  4. Position arm so cuff is at heart level.
  5. Press START/STOP button. Device will inflate automatically.
  6. Remain still and quiet during measurement.
  7. Readings display when measurement complete. Device deflates automatically.
  8. Note systolic, diastolic pressures and pulse rate.

Tip: Wait 2-3 minutes between consecutive measurements on same person.

Memory Function

Stores 99 measurements per user with date/time stamp.

  1. View memory: Press MEMORY button to scroll through stored readings.
  2. Average value: Displays average of last 3 measurements for current user.
  3. Clear memory: To delete all readings for current user, press and hold MEMORY while in memory mode until "CLr" appears.
  4. User selection: Press MEMORY briefly from ready screen to switch between User 1 and User 2.

Note: Memory full indicator appears when 99 measurements stored. Oldest reading is overwritten by new one.

Care & Maintenance

Clean device with soft, dry cloth only. Do not immerse in water or use chemicals.

  1. Remove batteries if device not used for extended period.
  2. Store in cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  3. Do not expose to extreme temperatures or humidity.
  4. Clean cuff with damp cloth if necessary; do not machine wash.
  5. Check cuff periodically for wear or damage.

CAUTION! Do not disassemble device. No user-serviceable parts inside.
