Initial Setup

Before first use, install batteries and set date/time.

  1. Open battery compartment on back; insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Press any button to turn unit on. Display will show all symbols briefly.
  3. Press and hold the Date/Time button for 3 seconds to enter setting mode.
  4. Use START/STOP to change values, MEMORY to move to next field. Set year, month, day, hour, minute.
  5. Press Date/Time again to confirm and exit.

Tip: For most accurate readings, rest for 5 minutes before measuring. Avoid caffeine, smoking, and alcohol 30 minutes prior.

Taking a Measurement

  1. Sit comfortably on a chair with back support, feet flat on floor.
  2. Remove tight clothing from upper arm. Place cuff on bare arm with tube on inner arm, aligned with artery mark.
  3. Position cuff edge 2-3 cm above elbow. Cuff should be snug but not tight (allow one finger underneath).
  4. Rest arm on table so cuff is at heart level. Relax, do not talk or move.
  5. Press the START/STOP button. Cuff will inflate automatically.
  6. Remain still until measurement is complete and cuff deflates. Results display with pulse rate.
  7. Note the systolic/diastolic values and WHO indicator color.
  8. To turn off, press START/STOP again or unit will auto-power-off after 1 minute.

CAUTION! Do not inflate cuff when not wrapped around arm. Do not bend or kink the air tube.

Memory Function

The device stores 60 total measurements (30 per user).

  1. Select User: Before measurement, press User button (1 or 2) to choose profile. Corresponding icon appears.
  2. After measurement, result is automatically saved with date and time.
  3. To recall memory: Press MEMORY button. Display shows average of last 3 readings for selected user.
  4. Press MEMORY again to scroll through individual stored readings (most recent first).
  5. To clear memory for a user: With device off, press and hold MEMORY and User button simultaneously for 3 seconds until "0" appears.

Understanding Results

WHO Indicator: Color bars on display classify your reading:
Green: Normal (Systolic: <120, Diastolic: <80)
Yellow: Prehypertension (Systolic: 120-139, Diastolic: 80-89)
Orange: Hypertension Stage 1 (Systolic: 140-159, Diastolic: 90-99)
Red: Hypertension Stage 2 (Systolic: ≥160, Diastolic: ≥100)

Irregular Heartbeat Symbol: If this icon flashes during or after measurement, it may indicate an irregular pulse. Consult your physician if it appears frequently.

Note: A single reading is not diagnostic. Track readings over time and share with your doctor.
