Before First Use

Prepare the device for first measurement.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4xAA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Set date and time: Press and hold MEMORY button for 3 seconds, use START/STOP to adjust.
  3. Apply cuff correctly: Wrap cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow.
  4. Rest for 5 minutes before first measurement.

CAUTION! Use only recommended batteries or AC adapter. Do not mix old and new batteries.

Applying the Cuff

Correct cuff application is essential for accurate readings.

  1. Sit comfortably with back supported and feet flat on floor.
  2. Bare your left upper arm (or right if instructed).
  3. Pass end of cuff through metal loop to form a circle.
  4. Place cuff 1-2 cm above elbow with air tube aligned with artery (marked with arrow).
  5. Wrap cuff snugly; you should fit one finger between cuff and arm.
  6. Rest arm on table with palm up, cuff at heart level.

Tip: Avoid talking or moving during measurement.

Taking a Measurement

Follow these steps for reliable results.

  1. Preparation: Rest for 5 minutes in a quiet environment. Avoid caffeine, exercise, and smoking 30 minutes prior.
  2. Apply cuff as described in section 7.
  3. Start: Press START/STOP button. Cuff inflates automatically.
  4. Measurement: Remain still and quiet. Cuff deflates gradually.
  5. Reading: Results display with systolic, diastolic, and pulse rate. WHO indicator shows category.
  6. Irregular Heartbeat: If detected, IHD symbol appears. Consult physician if frequent.
  7. Power off: Device turns off automatically after 1 minute.

WARNING! Do not inflate cuff manually. Stop measurement if pain or discomfort occurs.

Memory Function

Stores up to 60 readings with date and time.

  1. Review memory: Press MEMORY button to scroll through stored readings (oldest to newest).
  2. Delete all memory: In memory mode, press and hold START/STOP for 3 seconds until display clears.
  3. Memory full: "FULL" symbol appears when 60 readings stored; delete old readings to store new.

Note: Memory is retained when batteries are replaced if done quickly (within 2 minutes).

Care & Cleaning

Unplug AC adapter and remove batteries before cleaning.

  1. Wipe main unit with soft, dry cloth. Do not use solvents or abrasives.
  2. Cuff: Clean with mild soap and damp cloth; air dry completely before storage.
  3. Storage: Keep in cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  4. Do not immerse any part in water.

CAUTION! Do not wash cuff in washing machine or use bleach.
