Device Overview

Front: LCD display, START/STOP button. Side: MEMORY button, AC adapter port. Bottom: Battery compartment.

Display Symbols: Systolic pressure, Diastolic pressure, Pulse rate, Irregular heartbeat symbol, Hypertension indicator bar, User indicator (1 or 2), Memory full indicator, Low battery symbol, Date and time.

Cuff: Cloth cuff with Velcro closure, air tube connector, artery marker (align with brachial artery).

Initial Setup

Prepare device for first use.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing correct polarity.
  2. Set date and time: Press and hold MEMORY button for 3 seconds, use START/STOP to adjust values.
  3. Select user: Press MEMORY briefly to toggle between User 1 and User 2.
  4. Connect cuff: Insert cuff tube connector into device port until it clicks.

CAUTION! Use only recommended batteries. Remove batteries if device will not be used for extended period.

Taking a Measurement

For accurate results, follow these steps carefully.

  1. Rest for 5 minutes before measurement. Avoid caffeine, exercise, and smoking 30 minutes prior.
  2. Sit comfortably with back supported, feet flat on floor, arm supported at heart level.
  3. Wrap cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow. Artery marker should align with brachial artery.
  4. Secure cuff snugly but not too tight (should fit one finger underneath).
  5. Press START/STOP button. Device will inflate automatically.
  6. Remain still and quiet during measurement. Do not move arm or talk.
  7. Reading will display when measurement is complete. Device deflates automatically.
  8. Record your reading if desired. Device automatically stores it in memory.

Tip: Take measurements at same time each day for consistent tracking.

Understanding Results

The display shows systolic pressure (higher number), diastolic pressure (lower number), and pulse rate.

Irregular Heartbeat Symbol: Appears if irregular pulse detected during measurement. Consult physician if symbol appears frequently.

Memory Function

Device stores last 30 readings for each user (60 total).

  1. View memory: Press MEMORY button to scroll through stored readings.
  2. Delete memory: While in memory mode, press and hold START/STOP for 3 seconds to clear current user's memory.
  3. Average reading: When 3 measurements are taken within 10 minutes, average is calculated and displayed.

Note: Memory full indicator appears when 30 readings are stored. Oldest reading is overwritten by new one.

Care & Maintenance

Proper care ensures accurate measurements and device longevity.

CAUTION! Do not autoclave, sterilize, or expose to high temperatures. Do not attempt to repair device yourself.
