Safety Information

Read all instructions before use. For home use only.

  1. Do not use on infants, children, or persons unable to express their will.
  2. Consult physician before use if you have arrhythmia, pre-eclampsia, or arterial sclerosis.
  3. Do not use during dialysis or if you have severe circulatory disorders in the arm.
  4. Wait at least 5 minutes between consecutive measurements on the same person.
  5. Do not use near flammable gases or in oxygen-rich environments.

WARNING! This device is not a substitute for professional medical diagnosis. AFIB detection indicates possible atrial fibrillation; consult a physician for diagnosis.

First-Time Setup

Insert batteries or connect AC adapter before first use.

  1. Install batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Set date and time: Press and hold MEMORY button for 3 seconds, use START/STOP to adjust.
  3. Select user: Press USER button to choose User 1 or User 2.
  4. Apply cuff: Wrap cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow, align artery marker with brachial artery.
  5. Position arm: Rest arm on table with cuff at heart level, sit quietly for 5 minutes before measuring.

CAUTION! Ensure cuff is properly positioned at heart level for accurate measurements.

Specifications

Controls and Display

Display Icons: User indicator (1/2), Battery level, Heart symbol (pulse), AFIB symbol, Irregular heartbeat symbol, WHO classification bar, Memory recall, Date/Time.

Button Functions: START/STOP - begins/stops measurement, USER - selects between User 1 and User 2, MEMORY - recalls stored measurements, sets date/time when held.

WHO Classification Colors: Green (optimal/normal), Yellow (high-normal/mild hypertension), Orange (moderate hypertension), Red (severe hypertension).

Taking a Measurement

For most accurate results, measure at the same time each day.

  1. Sit comfortably with back supported and feet flat on floor.
  2. Apply cuff to bare upper arm as described in setup.
  3. Rest quietly for 5 minutes before measuring.
  4. Press START/STOP button - device inflates automatically.
  5. Remain still and quiet during measurement - do not move arm or talk.
  6. Results display: Systolic pressure, Diastolic pressure, Pulse rate, WHO indicator.
  7. AFIB symbol appears if atrial fibrillation is detected.
  8. Device automatically stores measurement with timestamp.
  9. To turn off: Press START/STOP or wait for auto shut-off.

Tip: Avoid eating, smoking, or exercising for 30 minutes before measurement.

AFIB Detection Feature

The device screens for possible atrial fibrillation during each measurement.

  1. During measurement: Device analyzes pulse rhythm for irregularities.
  2. AFIB symbol: Appears on display if atrial fibrillation pattern is detected.
  3. Accuracy: Clinical studies show high sensitivity for AFIB detection.
  4. Important: AFIB detection is a screening tool, not a diagnosis.
  5. Action required: If AFIB symbol appears repeatedly, consult physician.
  6. Note: Some irregular heartbeats may trigger symbol without AFIB present.

WARNING! Do not rely solely on device for AFIB diagnosis. Always consult healthcare professional.

Memory Function

Stores up to 99 measurements per user with date and time.

  1. View memory: Press MEMORY button to scroll through stored measurements.
  2. Average reading: Display shows average of last 3 measurements when in memory mode.
  3. Delete memory: Press and hold MEMORY button for 5 seconds while in memory mode to clear all readings for current user.
