Device Overview

First-Time Setup

Prepare device before first measurement.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4 AA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Set date and time: Press and hold MEMORY button for 3 seconds, use START/STOP to adjust.
  3. Connect cuff: Insert air tube into socket until it clicks.
  4. Select user: Press USER SELECT to choose User 1 or User 2.
  5. AC adapter: Plug into device and wall outlet for continuous power.

Tip: For most accurate results, use AC adapter when possible.

Taking a Measurement

For accurate readings, follow these steps carefully.

  1. Rest for 5 minutes before measuring. Avoid caffeine, exercise, or smoking 30 minutes prior.
  2. Sit comfortably with back supported, feet flat on floor, arm supported at heart level.
  3. Wrap cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow. Artery marker should align with brachial artery.
  4. Press START/STOP button. Device will inflate automatically.
  5. Remain still and quiet during measurement. Do not move arm or talk.
  6. Results display automatically with systolic, diastolic, and pulse readings.
  7. Device deflates completely. Press START/STOP to turn off, or it shuts off automatically.

WARNING! Do not inflate cuff when not attached to arm. Do not exceed 299 mmHg pressure.

Memory Function

Stores 99 measurements per user with date and time.

  1. Select user: Press USER SELECT to choose User 1 or User 2.
  2. View memory: Press MEMORY button to scroll through stored measurements.
  3. Average value: After 3 measurements, device shows average of last 3 readings.
  4. Clear memory: Press and hold USER SELECT and MEMORY simultaneously for 3 seconds to clear current user's memory.
  5. Memory full: "FULL" symbol appears when 99 measurements stored. Clear memory to continue storing.

Note: Memory is maintained when batteries are removed (for approximately 5 minutes).

Irregular Heartbeat Symbol: Appears if irregular rhythm detected during measurement. Consult physician if this appears frequently.

Care & Maintenance

Clean device regularly for optimal performance.

  1. Unplug AC adapter and remove batteries before cleaning.
  2. Wipe monitor with slightly damp cloth. Do not immerse in water.
  3. Clean cuff with mild soap and damp cloth. Air dry completely.
  4. Store in provided case in cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  5. Replace batteries when low battery symbol appears.
  6. Have device checked annually for accuracy.

CAUTION! Do not use alcohol, solvents, or abrasive cleaners. Do not autoclave or sterilize.
