Initial Setup

Before first use: Install batteries and set date/time.

  1. Open battery compartment on back of unit.
  2. Insert 4 AA batteries observing correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Close battery compartment.
  4. Press DATE/TIME button and use START/STOP to set correct date and time.
  5. Connect cuff air tube to main unit port.

Tip: Use fresh alkaline batteries for best performance. Remove batteries if not using for extended periods.

Taking a Measurement

For accurate results, follow these steps carefully:

  1. Sit comfortably with back supported and feet flat on floor.
  2. Rest for 5 minutes before measuring.
  3. Select user (1 or 2) using USER button.
  4. Wrap cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow.
  5. Align artery marker with brachial artery on inner arm.
  6. Secure cuff snugly with 1-2 fingers space between cuff and arm.
  7. Position arm so cuff is at heart level on table or armrest.
  8. Press START/STOP button to begin measurement.
  9. Remain still and quiet during inflation and deflation.
  10. Read results on display when measurement completes.
  11. Results display for 2 minutes before automatic power off.

Important: Take measurements at same time each day for consistent tracking. Avoid talking or moving during measurement.

Memory Function

The device stores 60 readings for each of 2 users.

  1. Select user (1 or 2) using USER button.
  2. Press MEMORY button to view stored readings.
  3. Use START/STOP button to scroll through readings.
  4. Each reading shows: Systolic/Diastolic pressure, Pulse rate, Date/Time, Irregular heartbeat symbol if detected.
  5. To clear memory: While in memory mode, press and hold MEMORY button for 3 seconds until display clears.

Note: Memory is maintained when batteries are replaced if done within 2 minutes.
