Initial Setup

Prepare device for first use.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 4xAA batteries observing polarity.
  2. Set date and time: Press and hold MEMORY button for 3 seconds, use START/STOP to adjust.
  3. Connect cuff: Plug cuff tube into connector until it clicks.
  4. Select user: Press USER SELECT to choose User 1 or User 2.

Tip: For most accurate readings, use AC power adapter when available.

Taking a Measurement

For accurate results, follow these steps carefully.

  1. Rest for 5 minutes before measurement. Sit comfortably with feet flat on floor.
  2. Wrap cuff on bare upper arm 1-2 cm above elbow. Cuff should fit snugly.
  3. Position arm so cuff is at heart level. Rest arm on table.
  4. Press START/STOP button. Device will inflate automatically.
  5. Remain still and quiet during measurement. Do not move arm or talk.
  6. Reading displays when measurement is complete. Cuff deflates automatically.
  7. Record reading if desired. Device stores it automatically for selected user.

WARNING! Do not inflate cuff repeatedly in quick succession. Wait 2-3 minutes between measurements.

Understanding Results

The display shows systolic pressure (top number), diastolic pressure (middle number), and pulse rate (bottom number).

Irregular Heartbeat Symbol: Appears if irregular pulse is detected during measurement. Consult physician if this appears frequently.

Memory Function

Device stores 99 readings for each of 2 users.

  1. Select user: Press USER SELECT to choose User 1 or User 2.
  2. View memory: Press MEMORY button to scroll through stored readings.
  3. Average reading: After 3 consecutive readings, average icon appears showing average of last 3 measurements.
  4. Clear memory: Press and hold USER SELECT and MEMORY simultaneously for 5 seconds to clear current user's memory.

Note: Memory is preserved when batteries are changed if done within 3 minutes.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug power adapter and remove batteries before cleaning.

  1. Clean cuff with damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not machine wash.
  2. Wipe main unit with dry, soft cloth. Do not use solvents or abrasives.
  3. Store in cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  4. Replace batteries when battery indicator appears on display.
  5. Check cuff periodically for wear or damage.

CAUTION! Do not immerse any part of the device in water. Do not autoclave.
