CAUTION! Inspect contents upon opening. Do not use if any part appears damaged.
Front Panel: LCD Display, START/STOP Button (also ON/OFF).
Side/Back: Memory (M) Button, User (1/2) Selection Button, Battery Compartment Cover, Wrist Strap.
Display Symbols: Systolic Pressure, Diastolic Pressure, Pulse Rate, User Indicator (1 or 2), Battery Indicator, Irregular Heartbeat Symbol (heart icon), Hypertension Stage Indicator (color bar), Memory Recall Icon, Date/Time.
Tip: For most accurate results, take measurements at the same time each day, usually in the morning before medication and in the evening before bed.
WARNING! Do not inflate the cuff when it is not wrapped around your wrist. Do not move or bend your wrist during measurement.
The display shows three main values:
Hypertension Indicator (Color Bar):
Green: Normal (Systolic < 135 and Diastolic < 85 mmHg)
Yellow: Mild Hypertension (Systolic 135-159 or Diastolic 85-99 mmHg)
Red: Severe Hypertension (Systolic ≥ 160 or Diastolic ≥ 100 mmHg)
Irregular Heartbeat Symbol: If a heart icon with a plus (+) appears during or after measurement, it may indicate an irregular pulse rhythm. Consult your physician if this symbol appears frequently.
The device stores readings separately for User 1 and User 2.
Replace batteries when the low battery icon appears on the display.
Note: Memory is retained when batteries are replaced. Date and time settings may need to be reset.
CAUTION! Use only AAA alkaline batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries or different types. Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period.
Unplug? Remove batteries before cleaning. Clean only with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not immerse in water or use harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasives.
Storage: Store in the provided carrying case in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, dust, and humidity.
CAUTION! Never wash the cuff or monitor. Do not disassemble the device. Avoid sharp bends in the tubing.
| Symptom | Possible Cause | Corrective Action |
|---|---|---|
| No display when button is pressed | Dead or incorrectly inserted batteries | Replace with new AAA batteries; ensure correct polarity. |
| Error Code "E" appears | Cuff not wrapped correctly, movement during measurement, or arrhythmia detected | Re-wrap cuff correctly, remain perfectly still, and retry. If "E" persists, consult your physician. |
| Inaccurate or fluctuating readings | Incorrect body position, talking/moving, or cuff too loose/tight | Sit correctly with cuff at heart level. Apply cuff snugly. Remain still and silent. |
| Memory not recalling data | Wrong user selected or memory cleared | Press User button to select correct profile. Data cannot be recovered after clearing. |
| Cuff does not inflate or inflates weakly | Batteries low, leak in air system, or cuff not sealed properly | Replace batteries. Ensure cuff is wrapped tightly and tubing connections are secure. |
Reset: Remove batteries for 5 minutes, then reinsert to perform a soft reset.
Service: Do not attempt to repair the device yourself. For service, contact Microlife customer support or your local distributor. Visit www.microlife.com for more information.
