Initial Setup & Battery Installation

Power on the device; set date and time.

  1. Open the battery compartment on the back.
  2. Insert 4 new AA batteries, observing correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Close the compartment. The device will beep and all display symbols will appear briefly.
  4. Set the date and time using the START/STOP and M buttons (refer to manual for sequence).
  5. Select the user (User 1 or User 2) by pressing the M button.

CAUTION! Use only recommended batteries. Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period.

Applying the Cuff

Correct cuff placement is essential for an accurate reading.

  1. Sit comfortably on a chair with back support for 5 minutes before measuring.
  2. Remove tight clothing from your upper left arm.
  3. Pass the end of the cuff through the metal D-ring to form a loop.
  4. Place the cuff on your bare arm so the air tube runs down the center of your inner arm (artery mark aligned).
  5. The lower edge of the cuff should be 2-3 cm above your elbow.
  6. Secure the cuff snugly, but you should be able to fit two fingers underneath.

Tip: Always use the same arm for consistent readings. Measurements on the left arm are recommended.

Taking a Measurement

For standard or MAM (average) mode.

  1. Rest quietly for 5 minutes before measuring. Sit with feet flat, back supported, and arm resting on a table at heart level.
  2. Apply the cuff correctly as described.
  3. Press the START/STOP button. The cuff will inflate automatically.
  4. Remain still and quiet until the measurement is complete and the cuff deflates.
  5. For MAM mode: After the first reading, the device will automatically start two more measurements at 1-minute intervals and display the average of all three.
  6. The systolic, diastolic pressure, and pulse rate will be displayed along with the WHO indicator and any detection symbols (e.g., AFIB, irregular heartbeat).

WARNING! Do not move or talk during measurement. Ensure the cuff is at heart level for accurate results.
