Device Overview

Front Panel: START/STOP button, Display screen, Memory (M) button, Bluetooth button, User 1/2 selection button.

Initial Setup

Before first measurement: Install batteries or connect AC adapter, set date/time, pair with smartphone app.

  1. Power: Insert 4 AA batteries or plug in the AC adapter.
  2. Set Date/Time: Press and hold the M button for 3 seconds. Use START/STOP to adjust values, M to confirm.
  3. Select User: Press the User button to select User 1 or User 2 profile.
  4. Bluetooth Pairing: Press and hold the Bluetooth button until the icon blinks. Open the Microlife app on your phone and follow in-app instructions.
  5. Cuff Application: Wrap the cuff correctly on your bare upper arm, 1-2 cm above the elbow.

Tip: For most accurate results, rest for 5 minutes before measuring. Sit in a chair with back support, feet flat on the floor.

Taking a Measurement

Follow these steps for a proper reading.

  1. Sit correctly: Sit quietly with your back straight and supported.
  2. Apply cuff: Place cuff on left arm (or arm specified by your doctor). Align the artery marker (Φ) over your brachial artery.
  3. Position arm: Rest your arm on a table so the cuff is at heart level.
  4. Start measurement: Press the START/STOP button. The cuff will inflate automatically.
  5. Remain still: Do not move or talk during inflation and measurement.
  6. Read results: The systolic, diastolic pressure, and pulse rate will display. The WHO indicator bar will light up.
  7. Automatic deflation: The cuff deflates completely after the reading is stored.

WARNING! Do not inflate the cuff when it is not wrapped around an arm. Excessive pressure may damage the device.

Understanding the Display

After a measurement, the screen shows:

An irregular heartbeat symbol appearing occasionally may not be significant. If it appears frequently, consult your physician.

Memory & Data Management

Stores 100 readings per user (200 total).

  1. View Memory: Press the M button. The most recent reading displays. Press again to scroll through previous readings.
  2. Delete a Reading: While viewing a specific reading, press and hold the M button until 'dEL' appears. Release to delete that single reading.
  3. Delete All for a User: With the device off, press and hold both the M button and the User button for 3 seconds. 'CLr' appears for the selected user.
  4. Data Transfer: Readings are automatically sent to the paired app via Bluetooth after each measurement (if enabled). You can also manually sync from the app.

Bluetooth Connectivity

Connect to the free 'Microlife Connected Health' app (available on iOS and Android).

  1. Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone.
  2. Open the Microlife app and create an account/profile.
  3. On the monitor, press and hold the Bluetooth button until the icon blinks (discovery mode).
  4. Select 'WatchBP home BT' from the device list in the app.
  5. Follow on-screen pairing instructions. A solid Bluetooth icon indicates a successful connection.
  6. The app will receive, store, and graph your readings, and can generate reports for your doctor.

Tip: Ensure the monitor is within 3 feet (1 meter) of your phone during pairing and data transfer.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug adapter/remove batteries before cleaning.

CAUTION! Do not attempt to repair the device yourself. There are no user-serviceable parts inside.
