Taking a Measurement

For reliable results, rest for 5 minutes before measuring. Avoid eating, smoking, or exercising 30 minutes prior.

  1. Sit comfortably on a chair with back support, feet flat on the floor.
  2. Remove tight clothing from your upper left arm. Place cuff on bare arm.
  3. Pass the end of the cuff through the metal D-ring to secure it. The tube should run down the center of your arm.
  4. Position the cuff so the lower edge is 2-3 cm above your elbow. The artery marker (△) should align with your brachial artery.
  5. Rest your arm on a table so the cuff is at heart level. Relax, palm up.
  6. Press the START/STOP button. The cuff will inflate automatically.
  7. Remain still and quiet until measurement is complete. Results display with pulse rate.
  8. The cuff deflates automatically. Note the systolic, diastolic, and pulse values.
  9. To turn off the device, press START/STOP again, or it will power off automatically.

WARNING! Do not inflate the cuff when it is not wrapped around an arm.

Memory and Data Management

The device stores 99 readings for each of 2 users, tagged with date and time.

  1. Select User: Press the MEMORY button briefly. The user icon (1 or 2) flashes. Press START/STOP to select the desired user. The device will confirm with a beep.
  2. View Memory: With the device off, press the MEMORY button. The most recent reading for the selected user appears. Press MEMORY again to scroll through previous readings.
  3. View Averages: While in memory mode, hold the MEMORY button for 3 seconds. The average of the last 7 morning or evening readings (based on measurement time) will display.
  4. Clear Memory: With the device off, hold both the MEMORY and START/STOP buttons for 5 seconds. "CLr" appears, then "YES" flashes. Press START/STOP to confirm clearing memory for the selected user.

Understanding Your Results

The LCD shows systolic pressure (top number), diastolic pressure (middle number), and pulse rate (bottom number). The WHO indicator bar classifies your reading:

If the irregular heartbeat symbol (IHD) appears, it means significant pulse irregularities were detected during the measurement. Consult your physician if this occurs frequently.

Note: A single reading is not diagnostic. Track your readings over time and share the memory data with your healthcare provider.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug AC adapter and remove batteries before cleaning.

  1. Clean the monitor and cuff with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not immerse in water.
  2. Do not use alcohol, benzene, thinners, or abrasive cleaners.
  3. Store in the provided case in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and dust.
  4. Do not drop or subject to strong shocks.
  5. Replace batteries when the low battery icon appears on the display.
  6. The cuff tube and bladder are not user-serviceable. Do not attempt to repair.

CAUTION! Never wash or sterilize the cuff in an autoclave, dishwasher, or washing machine.
