Initial Setup

First-time configuration steps:

  1. Insert paper roll: Open printer compartment, load thermal paper with shiny side down.

  4. Cuff preparation: Ensure cuff is properly connected to device port.

Taking a Measurement

Proper measurement procedure:

  1. Patient preparation: Have patient sit quietly for 5 minutes, feet flat, back supported.
  2. Cuff placement: Position cuff on bare upper arm, artery marker aligned with brachial artery.
  3. Arm position: Support arm at heart level on table.
  4. User selection: Press USER button (1-4) for patient identification.
  5. Start measurement: Press START button - cuff inflates automatically.
  6. Reading: Results display automatically; IHD symbol appears if irregular heartbeat detected.
  7. Store reading: Automatically saved to selected user memory.
  8. Print: Press PRINT button for hard copy (optional).

Tip: Wait at least 3 minutes between measurements on same patient.

Memory & Data Management

Memory functions and data handling:

  1. View stored readings: Press MEMORY button, select user with USER buttons.
  2. Navigate readings: Use arrow buttons to scroll through stored measurements.
  3. Delete readings: In memory mode, press and hold SET button for 3 seconds to clear user memory.
  4. Average calculation: Device automatically calculates average of last 3 readings per user.
  5. Data transfer: Connect USB to computer for data export (requires Microlife software).

Note: Memory full indicator appears when 99 readings stored per user.

Printer Operation

Using the integrated thermal printer:

  1. Print single reading: After measurement, press PRINT button.
  2. Print memory: In memory mode, press PRINT to print all readings for selected user.
  3. Paper replacement: Open compartment when paper low indicator appears.
  4. Print content: Includes date, time, systolic/diastolic, pulse, IHD status, user ID.

WARNING! Use only Microlife thermal paper. Other paper may damage printer.

Care & Maintenance

Cleaning and maintenance procedures:

  1. Exterior cleaning: Use soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquids or aerosols.
  2. Cuff cleaning: Wipe with damp cloth and mild detergent, air dry completely.
  3. Storage: Store in clean, dry area at room temperature.
